What a mess

Does anyone else think that Kent is setting up his employees and finding out who is forwarding the information outside the "circle of trust"? I use to have a boss that would tell us things in private and he would ask us to keep it under wraps, and then he would sit back and find out how long it would take to get out amongst the other employees, or in this case, egriz, missoulian, twitter, facebook and "insiders". It is pretty easy to find out who has Kents back and who is still passing info outside the circle!

No way. If you the pleasure of know Kent Haslem you would be laughing at this post. The man is as honest as can be, a fine human, loves UM, has a great family, and is rock solid.

Those type of games are not part of Kent Haslem. Relax--all will end up well for the Griz Nation.

My post was more of a hypothetical than anything. It could very well be the candidates/committee members. There is so many "insiders" posting what they know, but none of them are correct thus far, that it is either Haslem is in over his head, or he is finding out who is trustworthy. Personally, I think Haslem knows exactly what is being said and knows exactly what he is doing!
That explains that copy of Machiavelli's "The Prince," sitting on the corner of his desk.

If Kent is busy "setting up his employees" instead of focusing on the coaching search we have WAY bigger problems to get straight.

Again, my post was hypothetical, but I find it amusing that you don't think Kent is capable of doing two things at once. You must think very little of his abilities!

I find it amusing that you'd buy into a conspiracy theory like that. You're PERFECT for eGriz. Welcome.

Again, my post was hypothetical. I am confused about a couple of things you stated; 1) what "conspiracy theory" are you talking about? 2) why am I "PERFECT for eGriz"? 3) "Welcome"?

Ps- I am sure you are aware I have been a member of egriz longer than you and just because you post more than me doesn't make you a more knowledgeable fan. Have a great holiday!

Winner! Were you a philosophy major? Great read if you are into that sort of thing.

What if it is not an employee, but instead one of the committee members or one of the candidates themselves?

Which insiders, or people claiming to be insiders, were saying that Stitt was hired? I was tied up much of yesterday and haven't taken the time to look through threads for this.

Where did these reports come from? I assume not egriz?

"Longtime Colorado School of Mines coach Bob Stitt agreed to become the new head coach at Montana, FootballScoop learned late Friday night. Fox Sports also reported the hire."
