I don't understand their logo. While it's obviously supposed to be a W, it looks like two Y's hooked together, or even two V's. It's just the rectangle anchor things on the top and bottom that throw me off. They have the "W" on a big concrete pillar at the entrance to the U, and I bet stoned students sit there and wonder the same...

Here's the deal: Western hung in there against a very good FBS (MAC) team in Ball State. The game was tied at half time, before the Cardinals slowly pulled away.

Ball State went 6-1 in their 2020 conference-only schedule and was conference champion. They then pummeled a pretty good San Jose State team (champions of the MWC) in the Arizona Bowl. And they returned 20 starters from that team. So the Leathernecks stayed within 10 points of a very strong second-tier FBS program. They are not to be taken lightly.

This. Ball St is expected to win the MAC. The GRIZ simply cannot afford to have a let down in this game.

WIU will show up and be ready to play. They have extra motivation win. What team wouldn't want to knock of the Griz team that just beat the Number 20 Ranked FCS team?

V used to be a u in English. Take a look at the signage on the Natural Science Building by the UC. It looks like this: Natvral. That is why a w = double u rather than double v.

So that makes 20 transfers, and I believe 13 were FBS at some point.

Most of the starting Oline are transfers (3/5 now, was 4/5 with Mallory)

And most of the starting D (6/11).

The two most acclaimed groups from the UW game—Oline and D—are mostly BH guys.

This is how he’s been able to get his biggest win in only year three.
