Don't worry, as in every kid we recruit, Justin and Co. did a lot of due diligence on Wes before offering him a scholarship. Starting in '26, possibly but unlikely this year, we will see Wes starting to make an impact on ST's if not @ WR.
And the article did mention MSU, Eastern and Boise State were starting to take a look @ Wes--too late, suckers !!!
Maybe. Or maybe he sees a sinking ship in Bozeman, with a head coach who wanted to leave last year and a team that is going to be in a complete offensive rebuild or stick with an offense that really doesn't help receivers look very good.

While it's certainly a good get and a great start to the 26 class, Let's be honest with ourselves. Our in state recruiting was pretty lackluster last year. Right now both teams each have one of the top 5 players in the state. There's a long way to go before I'm gonna declare victory in the state this year.
These groups that do ratings of high school players are always questionable. It would be interesting to go back 5-10 years and look how players were rated and then the actual production for Cats and Griz. I don't think these sites like On3.com and 247Sports.com actually spend much time evaluating kids from Montana. Coaches from Cats and Griz however spend hours watching film and talking to these kids and their coaches. High school athletes develop differently..some peak early and some are still developing. That is why guys like Tim Hauck, Patrick O'Connell and Dylan Cook get missed. Very inexact science.

Yes, Belgrade was a mess of a program, especially last year. Hopefully the new coach can keep his temper under control better than the last guy.
Wes is a good kid. Very fast and has good hands. It will be good to see him in a positive football environment.
