I’ve gotta say...the Little Brown Stein is the lamest rivalry trophy I’ve ever seen. It is on display in the Hall of Champions. A kitschy brown pitcher/stein with stick-on office supply letters and numbers.

yea well for many years players busted their asses and left it all on the field to take the yearly possession of that Kitschy brown jug. Hell their have been countries go to war for less....Griz bring the jug home where it belongs..

The Stein isn't going anywhere unless we lose; it's been in our possession since 1999.

I’m looking forward to the four linemen that will be parading it around the field - postgame, like the great divide trophy.

Correct. We have allowed you to hold onto it while we were out. Thanks for hanging onto it.

You didn't allow us to hold on to it, we beat you the last 4 out of 5 while you were "out".

While you were "out"...getting waxed by the dregs of FBS.

The Vandulls yet again won't be taking home the Little Brown Stein but they'll have the consolation prize in their shorts: The Little Brown Stain. And probably not even so little!

I'd rather have one of these:

Preferably the one in back!

You prevailed by design. It suited our needs and agenda at the time to appear weaker than Montana.

Well, just hop in the time machine and go tell the Griz who made it that you are displeased. I don't think it needs replacement, maybe just embellishment. Carve the names into the wood instead of using bush league stickers. Mount in on a shiny base that can have a significant statement on it. Wipe all the Griz Jizz out of it, you know, spiff it up a bit.

Guys, your smack really sucks, but this is the worst of them all.

Have to agree on this one.

how much beer does it hold?
Finally ... a post that get to the important stuff.

Tradition and "symbolism" are wonderful things, but a "stein" is made to hold beer ... preferably good beer. The players can't indulge (most of them), but surely the coach and prez should get a victory slurp?!

I'm a little worried it's a solid piece of wood to look like a stein. Then it would be "little brown log".
