Was the Incarnate Word situation like a multi-faith meeting thing? I heard a lot of them went into the Jehovah's Witness building there in town for like four hours. ESPN had no business doing its pregame show there and then just cutting away. I'd be pissed that NDU's only time on ESPN was a loss on the main stage, but I'm glad you seem ok with it.

Yes, I am ok with NDSU losing to the Griz on ESPN. I am an adult.

Not to mention, the fifth national championship in a row made it a little easier.

Man, I must've missed the fifth one, and the first through fourth ones. It sucks that ESPN didn't televise any of them. Maybe bowling was on or something. It's alright, though. You guys got your taste of the main stage. Maybe if you make it back, you'll be more ready.

Sorry, CDA. In no sports are preseason games ever considered "main stage".

I agree with that completely. After all the scrimmages, it was great to open up the regular season of college football on the main stage on ESPN and hand NDU a huge loss! The looks on those fans' faces were priceless. I think it was a thrill for the players to see the stadium and atmosphere, though. And Wents probably benefitted from having a rough go in what was probably the most watched game he's ever played in.

Further, thanks for coming to Missoula to prove NDU can't win on the main stage!
We probably would've won if more NDSU fans were allowed to show up. Stupid weigh station at Wibaux.

Any of you guys coming to THE SPRING GAME this weekend in Fargo? There will be a National Championship ring presentation. I believe ESPN, BBC and NBC Montana will be broadcasting live while Snoop Dog Fullerton presents the rings, with a special appearances from Ty Gregorak and Gwen Florio, with rumors that Beau Donaldson will give an interview via a remote, secure location. Free admission, and two sticks of butter for the 1st thousand fans through the doors.

Haha! Because you're all fats. I get it.
Not all of us. ALPHAGRIZ1 is not in any danger of being placed on insulin.

Which AG1 are we talking? The real one, or the Bizon fan who logs in as him and pretends to be the real one, and is super obvious about it?

Better do some research. Not even close to the most watched game. Most people were probably still at the lake. Not a lot of interest for a preseason game.

I bet you're referring to the Minnesota "lake," right? CDA was correct - Golden Gophers fans!

A lake in North Dakota, now I've heard it all! Don't kid yourself, bro. It was definitely the biggest stage he's ever played on. I don't think your games on The Ocho really count, haha!

Well color me green, and call me a pickle...I never thought of that. Is that possible? This internet thing is cool, but if that is happening, we may have finally found the internet winner. Either way, the answer to your question is undoubtedly, unequivocally, yes...AG1 is crying about Prince right now.

Gopher fan. Maybe he should purify himself in the waters of Lake Minnetonka.

I heard Winch loves hunting and playing in the woods so much that he might go north of the border if he doesn't get drafted by a team with woods very nearby so that he can hunt for things and do general horseplay in said woods.

Wrench should have just played in Montana. He could have skinned a bear or a muskrat here. Jesus, I bet he's kicking himself.

You are getting desperate CDA. The biggest stage he ever played on gave away trophies. Trophies that say NCAA on them and not ones that shaped like some mountain over by Butte.

Haha! Let me guess: ESPN3? Give it up, Wendt himself very likely admits it. You should, too.

Probably. I'm glad he didn't come to UM though. Vends has already proven that he can't win in Missoula and doesn't play well with the world watching.

It's really cute how these UND fans think the trophy rock on the pass near butte is a "mountain." I guess it would be to them.

Gives me an idea for a new nickname for them: "fat-landers." It works on so many levels

WTF - when did they stop allowing hunting in Sequoia, Kings Canyon & Yosemite? My biggest thrill was bagging a pig @ the base of one of those big assed redwoods. F$&k. We must have lapped that tree ten times before the pig's heart gave out. Yeah, just put it in the bag. I got to believe winch will do just fine with the outdoor stuff in Cali. But who cares, he's gonna be so rich he can just buy some big Ted Nugent style game preserve in east Dakota. Right?

That might be the most genius thing I've ever read.
On a side note, does anyone remember who went #1 in the 1995 MLB draft? I want to say Piazza, but I'm not sure. And before any NDU fat-lander chimes in, no, I'm not talking about pizza.

Check the ratings and see what game had the most viewers, that should settle this little dispute, would you agree?

No way! By that metric, the final episode of Friends is the main stage. I think we can all agree that is not the case. Wa-GRIZ in general is the main stage of the FCS. It's pretty obvious. Alerus Center? Not so much.

Look, it's just my opinion, but I have major concerns about how Wench handles pressure in big moments. He looked starstruck to me in that game. Then he got injured. As a fan of my new local team, I'm leaning Goff. Seems like the better QB, honestly.

Question is can Wretch stay healthy taking the hits. RGIII couldn't.

That is the question with any skill position player, especially QB.
Honestly, what is it with the bashing of Wentz by some here? I think some of us GRIZ fans are jealous of NDSU's success. Why not respect and refer to him as Wentz? At the very least, he has earned respect.
