Wentz Was Not Hurt.....

Most of the second half as many have claimed. He got hurt on a twisted and rolled sack with 1 minute left in the 3rd quarter. The defense gave up no points at all and had lots of big stops while he was perfectly healthy in that quarter. You could see him struggle in the 4th and that was it. So that may be one more folks have to eliminate from the "excuse" bucket as to why they lost
 
Haven't seen too many excuses from Bison fans, players, and coaches. I've seen a lot of the exact opposite of that though.
 
Agreed, he looked a little ginger...but it wasn't like he shouldn't have been playing. Our defense was SOLID in the second half, against the run, the pass....they had NDSU struggling.
 
Ty Gregorak was on the radio after the game and he commented that the quarterback run in the first half was killing us. He made adjustments and you could see after halftime when they loaded up power on one side we adjusted for it. Ty Gregorak said that was the worst half he has ever coached as far as tackling, said he was very embarrassed. Said it wouldn't happen again. This weekend will be a very interesting game.

Go back and watch. You'll see exactly when it happens just as Musberger, Palmer, and the rest of the nation saw. It was plain as day.

Yep. I believe it was the last offensive play for NDSU in the 3rd quarter. A quarter where he was completely healthy and they scored zero points.

What part are you having trouble comprehending? My original post said that he was healthy the entire 3rd quarter and the Bison scored no points. Many Bison fans were saying he was hurt "most" the second half. That is simply not true. He was only hurt in the fourth. Lots of folks speculated that Carson being hurt "most" the second half is why they only scored 7 points. I'd argue that that half time adjustments made had more to do with it than not.
 
Well..it was being reported on Twitter this morning that he suffered a high ankle sprain, is not practicing and might be held out of Weber
game.

You could see he was limping, replay showed the ankle roll....did it slow him yes, but defense also adjusted....and I bet you won't hear him give it as excuse. Hell of a player/team/fans. I have respect for them like I used to Georgia Southern....and then Appy. Definitely great FCS team/program. Hopefully now we can get back to that level where national championships are not a long shot at best. I think the Cadillac has had an overhaul and might be getting ready to take the road again.

The entire Griz offense was hurt last year by Delaney's offense! Can u imagine Jordon Johnson, Jordan Canada and a healthy Ellis Henderson, last year with a Stitt offense? We would have killed the Bison last year in Fargo!

Of course, you are correct, Hooked. Good post. Don't let the dummies affect you. Assume Wentz won't complain or make excuses just like JJ didn't complain or make excuses--last season against NDSU, last year, and most of his career. Injuries happen, especially when qb's run or qb's don't have good protection. Some are tougher than others. JJ was very tough. Assume Wentz is too. Don't think Prukop is as tough. Don't know if Adams is tough or not, because he got away from so many tackles and hits.
