There uh, there seems to be something missing from these photos but I'm struggling to put my finger on what it is exactly....

Edit: I wonder if I can get band on BN by posting on egriz?
I have been banned numerous times over here for pointing out obvious truths, it is the nature of message boards.
I seem to remember some poster over here getting me banned, claiming my profile pic (related to Montana Vigilantes) was somehow racist against Native Americans. Wonder who that was that knows so little about Montana History?

Lots of history is now considered racist or inappropriate and is now gone or banned. I suppose you miss the Confederate flag, Squaw peaks, slave owner names and statues, Southern general statues, the Wash Redskins, etc. History is full of racism and racist things. I saw Killers of the Flower Moon recently. Terrific movie. One of the main actors went to UM and was born in Montana.

History is history, some is bad (very bad) and some is good. We still need to teach the truth (at least what we know) about history.
We could debate the good/bad about the Montana Vigilantes, but I still don't see anything racist in what that story represents.

You view an unexplained avatar as teaching history? Let’s see you try to teach us history with a swastica. Ironically, you are the one who needed to learn some history about the avatar.

That statement makes me think you know very little about what happened in 1863-64, it has absolutely nothing to do with swastikas' and insinuating that it does show your lack of knowledge.

Maybe you are the one who should learn some history and learn how bad the Vigilantes were. Are you proud of Vigilantes killing innocent people and people without the benefit of a trial and due process?
"In January 1864, influential settlers formed a “vigilance committee” and hanged 21 men without due process in just six weeks.
“Over a six-year period they killed a total of fifty men, many of whom were not guilty of capital crimes, some of whom were not guilty of crimes at all,” according to writer Frederick Allen’s authoritative history, A Decent, Orderly Lynching: The Montana Vigilantes.
One such victim was Ah Chow, a Chinese immigrant and Helena resident who mortally wounded John R. Bitzer in 1870. Each man claimed the other had been the aggressor. A trial might have revealed the truth. Instead, vigilantes lynched Chow from Helena’s hanging tree,"

That's good, take the word of a woke author rewriting history 150 years after the fact. As someone that had ancestors there in in 1863 I will disagree with his assessment.
Gold wasn't discovered in Last Chance Gulch until 1864, which was after the vigilantes did their work. The image used on this guys book is the same one that was my profile pic.

Whoa whoa whoa.
You don’t come to egriz to get completely non biased information on our American history? Or any other pertinent information?’

I don’t. And I don’t appreciate any user who complains about being banned for having a lynching picture as his avatar years ago. Trash.

Should have been a permanent ban.
poop. One can earn a perma ban on bcn for suggesting that there are some days in which Patrick Mahomes mayyyyy be a little better in a few aspects of the game than the wine guy
