I had a front row seat in grand forks for this one. It was like two different games from half to half. In the 2nd half it was nothing more than a good ol fashioned ass kicking in the trenches.
 
We simply got our ass handed to us by a team that woke up at halftime while we took a long break. They got inspired, we didn’t. See? It’s simple.

The D played good the first half and fell off as well. No good defense allows 200+ rushing yards. And they've got to learn how to stop teams on 3rd downs. So sick of seeing 3rd and longs converted.

i won't argue that the 2nd half play calling was a bit off, but the defense really didn't play well at all, imo. we have some major issues to address. big problems with tackling, run support coming from our back end guys. guys that are usually solid tacklers. not sure what's going on here, but it's happened two games in a row. other than wilson, i don't feel like are very good at LB right now, frankly. pat hayden is a good player. but having gub in a game like that changes. sky's not falling, it's the second game. my hope is that some of the fixable stuff sorts itself out. generally i am okay with the offense. most (not all) of the issues are correctable. there is one glaring weakness on that o-line that was an issue last year and continues this year, and i don't think that is going to change and consequently will be an issue the rest of the year. for most of the other offensive issues, i think game reps will help.

Where in my post did I say glad? Just because posters act more mature than you, doesn't mean they are happy or glad about how the game played out.
