Well Boys and Girls...

...it was an interesting year. Started out with a big win, went through a rocky middle of injuries and up/down play, ended the year strong and got buzzsawed in Fargo.

I've watched this team for more years than I care to admit and I don't remember anything that compares to this one...what a roller coaster.

Now we'll find out if Robert Stitt is really going to be the guy, who he is able to recruit to this program and if he can make his schemes work with those guys will be the question.

I predicted a roller coaster ride after the first game and boy, you are right, it has been. My immediate response to this kind of loss is frustration....blame the coach, blame the QB, blame the line, heck even Sully disappointed.

However, if you have told me after the PSU game that we would have played NDSU in the playoffs I would have said you were on drugs.

So yes, now we will see where Stitt will lead us after a season under his belt. Will he be able to plug holes where weaknesses exist, replace several very talented players on both sides of the ball and probably most relevant to the thread, lead us to a championship with his scheme. I'm not sold on the head coach calling the plays. Who does he fire when the offense sucks? Just ask'n. No, I'm not say'n the offense sucked, just making a point about the double duty and putting yourself in a lose-lose situation.

Stitt has a lot of work to do, no doubt. If I were him I would focus on two things: getting the offense on the same page and solidifying the O Line. Too many times deep in the season, WRs and the QB were not in sync. Delivery and reception issues have also compounded this. As for the line, having some semblance of a running game allows this offense to work much better than without. The lack of a push on the o line as well as the fact that 3 d lineman completely confound the running game is very troublesome. I don't know how you fix this with the personnel on hand...

Totally agree. I'm sure that all starts tomorrow morning. The bitter taste of this type of defeat will last about nine months. I have high expectations for a good start next season with lots of promise in the 2016 edition of the Griz.

Hopefully it is a huge motivation. Losses like this can have ripple effects, good or bad, across years. Good leadership turns this into fuel. Bad leadership let's this fester.

Can't remember exactly where it was but somewhere under 2 min. to go, D Crittenden smashed the rb for a loss. That play stands out to me because it exemplified no one quitting. That comes from coaching motivation and the will to win from the players. This season ended with a good step in the right direction despite the bad adversity we went through.

Now what the f&ck am I going to do? Oh yeah, not ski on barely there snow slopes.

Guys, this isn't exactly unprecedented.

Anyone recall the beating we took at Western Illinois one year in the playoffs? How about the 96 championship game? We had some games at McNeese that weren't exactly competitive. Shit happens. Good teams get blown out sometimes. We'll be fine.

Even if Stitt recruits some fantastic players this year, it usually takes a few years before they are on the field. Hope they get some transfers that are impact players from day one that want to run the ball up the gut/love bubble screens/and at least have heard of the fly sweep.
