 Great game Will. :thumb: We missed you! 28pnts, 3reb, 3ast, 4stl, 15-16ft, and the desire to not ever be beat! Way to go buddy.. :thumb:

Best game I've seen out of him this year, real physical, attacked the basket a ton, forced a lot of contact.

I know a lot of people think he just drives to get to the line and has nothing else, but I say why not! I've seen him put in enough crazy shots that I say let him do it. And if they're gonna keep fouling, why not keep attacking? 15-16 FT will help any night.

I used to think that Will should take better care of the ball. But being aggresive to the rim and trying to thread the needle passing the ball is his game.

You could tell very early on that Will was going to tear it up tonight. That was good to see and fun to watch.

Actually Cherry has 6 rebounds to lead UM in rebounding

Correct. UM outrebounded Weber 31 to 25. UM went to the offensive boards tonight. Ward had 3.

Ha, yeah but weren't all three on one play/possession? :) But good on Ward to keep fighting, I think Will finally cleaned up the missed shots and put it in on that one too, 3 or 4 offensive rebounds it seemed right in that play.

He brings a hell of alot more than just that...its a shame he was injured cuz if he had been playing all year we would have been seeing this all seaosn....but this dude can get to the rack at will! and he pushes the tempo for us..and his outside shooting has been down this year but i think alot of that is shot selection. When he catches and shoots in rytham he shoots well.

Up until last night, Will was working his way back into game shape. His play against the Wildcats was a benchmark for which he was ready at the tip.

Although he was leading just a bit too much with some of his entry passes, he was otherwise sharp. More importantly, when Will's on, he communicates that to his teammates and everyone plays better.

The bonus? Will and Kareem are getting that chemistry back. Some of their late-game feeds to each other were uncanny.

Still a lot of the season left for Will & Kareem to make a Montana Griz impact.

Last 2 games. Cherry 44pt, 13rb, 9as,7st, and 21-24 ft%.. this is the Cherry we have been missing!
Watch him while you can Griz fans.. He is one of a kind, and his senior year is going fast!

Saturday night on ESPN, #1 Michigan at #3 Indiana, watch Victor Oladipo for IU - great player, does for IU what Cherry does for us, just a little more athletic - very disruptive on both ends of the court, plays with great energy and passion, gets a bit out of control at times but you gladly take that because of all the good things he does. They play a very similar game. He makes 'em go.
