well that tells you scats win over Drake did not impress. Look how close points wise top 5 are. I am surprised Weber rose up being they struggled with Dixie for the 1st half. Also surprised NIU is not higher.

Logic is hard for you folks. But, it has more to do with that jsu win over FSU than anything the cats did or didn’t do.

Good thing there are two halves to football. Holding a team out of the endzone and only to three points for an entire game ON THEIR OWN FIELD no less is impressive regardless of who you are playing.

Let’s be honest. Early season polls are basically how the previous season finished and playoffs. The real polls start when we begin to play each other. Cream rises to the top

Well, I have to say my guesses were pretty good … most either on the nose or within one or two of the actual poll position. That included Jacksonville State, where the pollsters jumped them one spot higher than I guessed.

My three big misses involved known pollster biases that I should have accounted for (my bad): Northern Iowa (team), and CAA (conference). Thus, UNI won a game against an unranked Sacramento State team, and that was enough for the pollsters to bounce them up three spots. Then, Richmond won a home game against unranked Lehigh and they got jumped three spots. Last but not least, when Holy Cross dropped out, the pollsters filled that spot with New Hampshire rather than my choice, Chattanooga. This despite the fact that Chattie had twice as many votes as UNH among the “Others” receiving votes in the previous poll.
