Keenan curran had 3-4 drops today. That's on him. He's gotta catch the ball. Period.

Thought O line did OK
Calhoun ran well
Picked up several fourth down conversions - nice
Phillips looked pretty good - for his second start in five years?
D backs were OK early - forced Browning to run because nobody was open
Our young receivers looked OK
Curran dropped way too many passes
No serious injuries?
Tune up next weekend and then we start setting the Big Sky back in its proper order, with the Griz at the top!

It's a top ten team, but that was brutal folks.
Sorry but not every fcs team would have looked that bad.
There are some things to take away from this ass kicking.
For example, Keenan Curran still can't catch the football.
Oh and can SOMEONE please explain Keenan Curran to me??

Give me whatever you're on. You are trippin man.
Tell me what good it does for you to be such a hater on the grizzlies?
Cats had a Td called back and two missed very makeable field goals.. If the usually very reliable Luke Daly makes those the Cats win. Murray outplayed by a good margin SDSU's All American QB. The Cats being a very young team played with a lot of poise against a very good veteran team. Should have been a Cat win.Copper Griz said:SCATS lose 31 -27. Very respectable.

Griz til I die said:Overall, I wouldn't say that we played good but I also wouldn't say we played bad. We moved the ball pretty good on offense which has me feeling pretty good. I thought the oline played pretty good tonight. Phillips had some pretty good numbers today. I'd say it was a pretty good day for the offense. The running game also wasn't bad either, Calhoun and Lee played tough.
The defense was a little above average. Let's put aside the 62 points for a minute here, it was a potential national champion team we played tonight. Ya we gave up 500 yards tonight, but we gave up 450 against Valpo, that's a hell of an improvement. I thought the secondary played pretty good tonight. I didn't really see UW throw a lot of deep balls so obviously our secondary did something right. The dline I thought had a good night. 5 sacks and TFL. Plus we had a pick 6. I thought the defense improved massively in a week.
Overall, yes we got killed, but we may never play a team that good again. We came out of this with no serious injuries, we get a nice easy warm up before conference play starts in 2 weeks, we get Strahm back next week, it's all uphill from here. Go Griz.

Disagree on that. It is the beginning of a very good story. Only giving up 31 points to Washington State, a top 20 FBS Pac 12 team and should have won the game last night against #4 SDSU means they will be in the hunt in the Big Sky.

As I said in another post, UW has elite talent. And they played very, very well. In a sad kind of way, their performance was actually a tribute to the history of UM football. I know, that sounds weird, but I'm not trying to sugar-coat anything. We have seen (and saw today) plenty of cases where a (supposedly) top-level team took their FCS "money" game opponent for granted and played like s**t. Not today in Seattle.

Exactly, no injuries and a big check to take home.
Really? It's about the check? That's pathetic

At this point? Yeah, that and staying healthy and maybe scoring against their backups.

That's not what I meant. We won't play a tougher team than UW the rest of the year, meaning it's all uphill for the griz cause the opponents will be easier.Grisly Fan said:Griz til I die said:...it's all uphill from here...
Jeez, I hope not, given that the phrase means it only gets tougher from this point forward. I hope Savannah St. and the Big Sky aren't tougher than UW or the Griz are in real trouble!
No kidding there are lots if people making excuses for Montana football sinking into mediocrity the last decade. It's gone and not coming back until we hire competent people to lead us out of the hole we are still digging.CFallsGriz said:IdaGriz01 said:Yep. :thumb:AZGrizFan said:I find it amazing people are tripping over getting ripped by a BCS playoff team. You guys keep talking about that if it makes you feel better. ZERO points by that offense. If you can accept that, IMO your standards are in the toilet. When did AZ become such an apologist? smh
