Week 2: Montana @ Washington Game Thread

Cats have a chance. Played much better than I expected. I dont know anything about SDSU this year as I havent seen them play but ranked 4th so good game by cats either way. Hope they keep losing😁

I actually disagree. A decent showing against a team like UW can build confidence. Getting run off the field in all facets is not good and this is getting a bit embarrassing.

We have TOP in our favor, and are 3-5 on 4th down conversions. Our O-Line has done pretty damn well. I see plenty of positives. I'm sorry you cannot.

TOP is a meaningless stat. However, I did see some positives. I thought Phillips played pretty well. All I'm was saying is that I thought we'd at least get some offensive points. If not for a lucky bounce, this game is 70-0.

True, but on the other hand we did move the ball a little, should have had 10 points from the offense, and probably more if Curran didn't have the dropsies. Not surprised we got track-meeted on defense but we did a few things on offense that might look a lot better going forward.

I also thought that early in the game our secondary did a great job of coverage, and forced Browning to run - but then, on at least one occasion we couldn't tackle him. Then when we started to have a LB spy him - he would throw, and even made a couple of them on the run. At one point he was 10-11 for 154 yards. That punt return I'm sure was a bit of emotional back breaker. And the late pick 6 where he ran the length of two football fields, was certainly the final straw - we looked gassed by then.

I find it amazing people are tripping over getting ripped by a BCS playoff team. Y'all need to step back from the ledge and breathe.
Yep. :thumb:
Go get drunk, if you must  ... just don't go drive.

As I said in another post, UW has elite talent. And they played very, very well. In a sad kind of way, their performance was actually a tribute to the history of UM football. I know, that sounds weird, but I'm not trying to sugar-coat anything. We have seen (and saw today) plenty of cases where a (supposedly) top-level team took their FCS "money" game opponent for granted and played like s**t. Not today in Seattle.

Could have easily been 83-7.

It's a top ten team, but that was brutal folks.

Sorry but not every fcs team would have looked that bad.

There are some things to take away from this ass kicking.

For example, Keenan Curran still can't catch the football.

This is all I keep thinking. Expecting a much closer game against #7 in the FBS reminds me of Bball when fans say things like, "we didn't shoot anywhere close to our normal percentage, I don't care if they are the best defensive team, we should've shot our season average."

Listened to the post-game on Sirius and the stats....holy cow that was a shit kicking. I did not expect anything other than a lopsided win by the Huskies but I did expect Montana to show some life. 132 yards passing and 31 yards rushing (or close to that) and 10 first downs...geeze and gave up over 500 on D

Yeah I guess they were on the road. Still they almost lost to a team that won 3 or 4 games last year in total. Cats may be great, just dont have objective evidence that they are yet. Oh well. We will all have a good idea who is who by December

And could have easily been 49-17. Big huge blatant hold on the punt return, should have kicked the FG in 4th and 5 and the ineligible receiver downfield was a ridiculous call.

Oh and can SOMEONE please explain Keenan Curran to me??
