I actually disagree. A decent showing against a team like UW can build confidence. Getting run off the field in all facets is not good and this is getting a bit embarrassing.

We have TOP in our favor, and are 3-5 on 4th down conversions. Our O-Line has done pretty damn well. I see plenty of positives. I'm sorry you cannot.

TOP is a meaningless stat. However, I did see some positives. I thought Phillips played pretty well. All I'm was saying is that I thought we'd at least get some offensive points. If not for a lucky bounce, this game is 70-0.

True, but on the other hand we did move the ball a little, should have had 10 points from the offense, and probably more if Curran didn't have the dropsies. Not surprised we got track-meeted on defense but we did a few things on offense that might look a lot better going forward.

Totally agree.

Cats miss the XP and are down 4 with 2 minutes left...getting interesting.

Murray has passed well for the most part. Choate has them ready to play.

Yeah he looks legit for the first time.

Be interesting to see if he stays healthy this year. Three more years of him could cause some indigestion.

Okay big difference is Tretorak played super prevent D against wazzu and Stitt & semore worked their game. Either can't take much away.

Ummmm??? I specifically said we would probably not win this game. I assume reading comprehension is not your forte? I said could we win? Yes we absolutely could.

See quote below - first page of the thread predictions. It was your prediction 48 - 45. Nothing wrong with my reading comprehension - a whole lot wrong with your grasp on life in general and Griz football in particular.

Do I think the Griz will win? No
Do I think the Griz can win? Absolutely

if these teams played 1000 times, guaranteed the Griz win at least once - but can it be that first time?

Since no one else will do it....I will predict a major upset, although I don't expect it.

Griz 48
Washington 45

TOP only counts when you're making stops. Otherwise it's meaningless. It just means you're defense is equal to wet tissue paper.

Digger lacks any objectivity when it comes to Griz football.

Actually I am one of the very few that is totally objective on this board. Most are wrapped up in their minds and hate and are very subjective in how they approach things - you included.

If he keeps running as much it will be tough to stay healthy, even McGoof couldn't stand up to that beating.

It's not that they wouldn't but the embarrassing team stitt puts out there is a joke. We couldn't win the state AA title the way they have looked the 2 games so far.

You're seriously dumb as hell. Go to sleep
Just cause you don't agree it's dumb? Go f**k yourself. This team is an embarrassment and its coaching. But keep sugar coating it to make yourself feel good. This staff is over their heads.

Come on Bobby. Knock it off

POTY!!!

Since you are obviously blind and cant comprehend....I bolded the first line for you.

A few things that may have been pointed out:
1) This is most likely the best team UM has ever faced. At the very least, the best they've faced in the last 20 years.
2) Just one season ago, Oregon gave up more points to UW than the Griz did today.
3) The last four times the Griz have been steamrolled by FBS teams, they have made it to the FCS playoffs: 2001 (lost to Hawaii 30-12, and we all know what happened at the end of that season), 2005 (lost to Oregon 47-14, lost in first round), 2006 (lost to #16 Iowa 41-7, lost by two points to UMass in the semis) and 2011 (lost to Tennessee 42-16, lost by three in the semis to Sam Houston).

So this wasn't a season ender. It's rough to watch, and yes, there were some execution mistakes. But the season is just getting started, and they were playing a team - on the road - that is out for vengeance after losing to Alabama in the College Football Playoff last year. If Washington ends the season outside of the top 10, and the Grizzlies miss the FCS playoffs, then we can be embarrassed.

False.

It sucks getting blasted but it was expected by one of the best teams in the nation. I saw a lot of good things out there to build off of against the talent we will see the rest of the year

Against a far superior team:
Thought O line did OK
Calhoun ran well
Picked up several fourth down conversions - nice
Phillips looked pretty good - for his second start in five years?
D backs were OK early - forced Browning to run because nobody was open
Our young receivers looked OK
Curran dropped way too many passes
No serious injuries?
Tune up next weekend and then we start setting the Big Sky back in its proper order, with the Griz at the top!
