I don't care what some people think, but the limitations of Gus kill the offense.

Hate to say it, but I agree with you. While he may technically be able to understand and operate more of the offensive playbook, his physical limitations outweigh that advantage in my opinion. And that's not a knock on the kid, it's just the truth. His inability to run makes the read-option at the beginning of every play a foregone conclusion as to who's going to get the ball...zero running threat from the QB puts the entire offense in a vice.

Give Ryan a few off tackle runs against a defense that is used to tackling 180 pound RB....might just grind out some first downs and open up play action

yeah, seems like the #1 priority of the offense is to avoid a turnover.

not sure how helpful that is when you punt each time and give UNI excellent field position, but alright...

Why must we always go deep on 3rd and short?
:x :x

3rd and 3, throw a 25 yard pass down field.
3rd and 12, throw a pass behind the LOS and expect the RB to pick up all 14 yards after catch.

It's a brilliant, counter-intuitive play calling philosophy, the genius is in it's unexpectedness.

They need an old school bobby ball clock killing drive...then again a 1st down would be great too...

Yep. It's difficult watching this offense. No, painful is better.

However, watching the defense is a pleasure. Mistakes here and there and to think they are only going to get better. Hope we can cling to this lead and pull this out.

GO GRIZ.

I was sitting at the bar and the guy next to me just puked. Looked like he had milk and some toast for lunch. I realized it looked very similar the Grizzly offense and play calling.
