Gus is limited at what throws he can make. And I don't think he nor Stitt has confidence throwing in the middle of the field because of his limitations.

He is a senior for f*** sakes , he should have it mastered by now

Being a senior has nothing to do with it. He is what he is, and there are many throws he just can not make.
