Week 1 is complete and now we roll into week two.

🏆 WEEK 1 PERFECT PICKS
Congrats to GrizMN, @GrizNut and @Montana37 for correctly picking all 11 teams who won this weekend! Also, we have 104 participants this year so far!

❗ FRIDAY GAME ALERT

On Friday, September 5, Eastern Washington plays at Boise State. Because Google Forms only allows me to turn off submissions for the whole form, the form will be open through Friday evening. The entire form will be closed on Gameday, Saturday Sept. 6. *NOTE: If you make your Eastern Washington/Boise State pick after that game kicks off, I will check timestamps and mark off those who made late picks.

📬 GENERAL INFO
Still running into some hiccups with my formulas. While things are still much simpler for compiling results in a timely manner, I found today it took me longer than I would like. Still working out some bugs, but overall the process is running about as well as I could hope for.

Looks like the Week 2 submission has an access issue.

Also woof, I thought I picked Cal Poly, but it seems my dumbass picked San Diego. 🤦‍♂️

Man idk what to do with Sac vs Nevada. Before yesterday I thought Sac for sure but after they only scored 3 points im not sure.

Thanks for setting up and compiling the results for the Pick'Em Challenge. It is appreciated. I just submitted picks and the form worked.

Had a hard time picking between MSU and SDSU. Eventually decided MSU because SDSU has more question marks imo. I think the cats run game will wear them down.

Note: I don't think either team is a championship team, honestly could see both of them dropping out of the top 10 by season's end.

Looks like I need to pay better attention to the board. I don't remember picking Udaho, I think of potatoes being only slightly more tolerable than dead cats, and I did consider the possibility of an upset. Any way, we know what excuses are like. Nice job so far GrizMN!

I picked SUU, but Poly played well and didn’t expect it
SUU plays San Diego this week, so we'll see, but I think it is more that USD is that bad. These Pioneer and NEC team really don't win that many D-I ooc games though. For Presbyterian, I think it was just a matter of finally winning one after playing so many and losing to Furman, Wofford and the other SoCon teams that used to take turns thumping them when they were still NAIA.
That loss for Mercer is as if they lost the UC Davis game too now, IMO.

I'm struggling with this game also. Pretty sure whichever team I pick will be the wrong one. Lol.

Thanks Griz in Texas. I wish I could say it was because of some expert analysis but it wasn't. It was darts to a dart board and Ouija board predictions - pure luck!

A team to keep an eye on this year and in future years is University of St. Thomas. They play in the crappy Pioneer League but I can see them moving to the Missouri Valley at some point. Their coach, Glenn Caruso is an excellent coach and has successfully guided them from D3 to D1. Yes, I typed that right - D3 directly to D1. They have access to some great recruiting markets and their business school is one of the best in the region (Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, and the Dakotas)

Good call. I would say everyone should also keep an eye on UTRGV. They seem to be following Tarleton States playbook. There’s already a ton of money and support behind that program.

Not an unprecedented move to go from D-III to D-I and actually Saint Francis is going the other way from D-I to D-III next year. St. Thomas couldn't just move up to D-II from what I understand, D-II told them to keep moving because they were playing that strong. You are spot on from what I have heard, they were waiting to get to playoff eligibility and then they want in the MVFC and they actually were moved up a year early on their plan because they have met all the criteria for transitioning. I would not be surprised to hear official news they are changing leagues as early as this season (for next year).
My only question; what in God's green earth is a Tommie? I'm old, so I thought maybe it was a Smothers brother.
