In a normal year, I'd agree. But given who those 4 losses were to, and how closely played 3 of the 4 were, I would tend NOT to agree this particular year.

The Wyoming game we could and should have won

The NDSU game we stood no chance and it wasn't as close of a game as the score showed

The Cal Poly game was flat out embarrassing

The EWU wasnt as close as the score showed as well..

NDSU game we threw a pick in the end zone which would have made the score 19-17 with 10 minutes left in the game.

EWU game we threw TWO picks in the end zone, beat EWU in every statistical category, and were down 7 with 4 minutes to play. Exactly HOW close does a game need to be for you to say it was "closer than it looked"?

We were down 35-10 before crawling back into the game.. It was no different than last years game.

33-10, and the only score that matters is the final score.

No, they won't.

It's high time you all get shitfaced on some truth. This video has a member of the selection committee walking through the process. About the only chance you have for a post season is the auto bid.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCotwOXYY44

Man I bet the world is a scary and confusing place for you isn't it??? I can't believe the NCAA wouldn't just come out on youtube and say that they really just care about money...how strange......if the Griz are 8-4 they get in...I don't care wtf anyone has to say....they're in at 8-4....can they get to that.....I have my concerns!

Unfortunately for you, the guy, Troy Dannen, UNI AD and Committe member, in the video has more say in the decision than everyone else here put together.

He must also be the only person working for the NCAA that doesn't care about money also..what a swell guy...or could he just not be mentioning that....hmmmmm

That argument is so ridiculous. So you are telling me the Griz ability to get in the playoffs through the years is not on accomplishment, but on money? They aren't as good as people say?

Think about it for a second. You are the committee member of region x, You are not employed by the NCAA, and the only thing you get is reimbursed for expenses. How long would you have your job as an AD if people found out you let another school in because of money over a school from your region? Do you think you would get hired by any other school for the same position? You are there to pick the best teams, and provide exceptional insight on the teams from your region. Do you think you are going to let any team get a bid over a team in your region, let alone your own team, because of money? The lid would be blown off of that so quickly. Lawsuits would run rampant for loss of revenue not only for that year but years after.

Somebody always talks. Look at the Seal from Butte.

If Montana gets in over a Cal Poly and both have a 8-4 record (Cal Poly finishes against Davis and San Diego and will win both) it would be a crime. Cal Poly's record is against an all D1 schedule and they have a 3 TD win over the Griz.

Mark it down, because it WILL happen. 8-) 8-)
Nope, the Griz will lose another one in the next two weeks.
Could be. And then all the fussin' and fumin' on here won't mean s**t -- because the one thing I think everyone agrees on is that the Griz must win out to even be in the conversation.

And, as I've posted on other threads, if (1) Griz win out, (2) MSU beats ISU Satuday, and (3) CP wins out -- likely -- the four Big Sky teams will be NAU, EWU, UM and CP. If ISU beats MSU, they will probably be the 4th team and CP gets bumped.

Fair? Probably not. But, while the "polls don't matter" -- they do, at least to the extent that they reflect how (some) football people feel about a program. CP had to beat both Montana schools before they made the top-25. IMO, they should have been in before that, certainly after the win over the Griz, when they had a four-game winning streak -- but that did not happen. Then, one loss and you're dropped out of the top-25. Just looking at the polls, I can see at least half dozen teams the 'Stangs would clobber. But (for reasons I have also speculated about on another thread), Poly does not get the respect it deserves.

As the saying goes: "Just win, baby!" and then see what happens. Our opinions/rants here are absolutely no factor in the final decisions.

People do realize that the money to be made for a home Griz playoff game is a drop in the bucket for the NCAA...

Whoa whoa WHOA. Let's not get carried away, Ida. Our opinions and rants most certainly DO factor into the final decision. I'm SURE of it.

I mean, otherwise, it's just the blatherings of a bunch of fat old men with nothing better to do, and God knows, we've all got something better to do if this doesn't have profound impact on the decision-makers. :x :x

In the past ...NO because we were just straight good son.....recently..ya probably..because were nothing special...its also good for FCS to have Montana in the playoffs...just like its good for the NFL when the Cowboys, Packers Steelers are in the playoffs...good for the NBA when the Lakers, Celtics, Bulls are in the playoffs...good for MLB when the Yankees, Red Sox, and Giants are in the playoffs...
