Seriously, can anyone tell me what Kidder did to warrant that penalty?

It looked like he jumped down on the quarterback when he tried to slide on his back while backing up, which when a QB does that no player is allowed to try and hit him. It didn't look to bad, but nonetheless it was a bone headed play by Kidder. We would have only had maybe 17 seconds left, so it would have taken a bloody miracle to even get the ball back and down the field anyways.
Kidder wasn't either one of the guys close to the qb...he was getting blocked, almost off camera on the tv feed. In fact x both if the guys close to the qb pulled up, neither really hot the UNC qb...

Well whoever it was, I did recall seeing someone lay a small hit on the UNC QB when he tried to go down with the ball, regardless it doesn't matter because we lost and would have most likely still lost had we got the ball back with around 15 seconds left. Can't blame the refs for this one, but I"m more than happy to blame the coaches and their gameplan going into this one.
Wasn't it 4th down when Kidder got the penalty? I believe there was 57 seconds on the clock.

This loss rests with the special ed teams. With that said, defense had a chance to win it late and laid an egg. All the mistakes are very disappointing. Does point to coaching. Total lack of discipline

Absogoddamnlutely ... special ed teams have no place in college football.

And I'm still scratching my head why we didn't try throwing the ball down the field more early in the game more often

Probably because of what UNC was doing on defense. But carry-on.

So you're saying we couldn't draw up a slant play? That's down the field.. and doesn't take TOO long to develop.. UNC's defense isn't that good! Maybe if we were playing another team such as the Bison then I might agree with that statement, but its UNC for crying out loud

Good luck Montana players and coaches next week in the Brawl, you're going to need it.

:egriz: (I still predict a Griz win)

A slant is like a 5-7 yard play, hardly a "down the field" type play

I'm ready to just play all our young lineman and position players and QB and maybe we will have something by their junior and senior seasons. I'm so sick of having raging vaginas on the o line. We have had horrible o lines for the last 5 years.

yeah but its more down the field than a screen pass, and if you catch the wide out in stride and have an opening that 5-7 yard play can turn into much more, as Northern Colorodo showed us early on in the game with their first Touchdown pass... but go ahead, you carry on...

seriously, did you even notice how UNC was lining up defensively

I am getting pretty tired of this shit. I am leaning to the camp that is done with this Stitt show.

I'm with you, I'm not sure what Stitt's current contract is, but I'm pretty sure an extension offer isn't looking too good right now lol.

I go to the coaches show each week and it seems like every loss is followed by some Stitt excuse, well if only this or that. As Hauck used to say, well if my Aunt had balls she would be my Uncle.
Can't wait for the excuse this week.

Yeah I miss the strong Oline's we used to have, back when we would even get Olinemen drafted in the NFL... but with Stitt's offense I don't think many Oline's get a lot of good practice for the big leagues, on account of most NFL teams use giant playbooks and well we use one page it looks like... whereas you see players coming out of NDSU making the NFL and making impacts such as Carson Wentz at the Eagles. Would be nice if we had a playback half as big as NDSU's offensive playbook...

I've been a stitt supporter but I could jump on the Hauck bus real damn quick. Can you imagine bobby vs NDSU.

Can someone explaIn to me what Kidder did there?

Tied up with the o-lineman pushing and shoving after the play. After whistle unc player gave a shove and released, Kidder gave him a last shove after he released. Pretty tricky tack, especially in that situation, but he did give the last shove so...

Wow we don't deserve a playoff bid even if we would have won that game. NC outplayed us, and they deserved the win. Sad day for Griz nation, I'm really unhappy with Stitts offensive scheme as of late. I honestly think his offense is just TOO SIMPLE for FCS. It might have worked back at the school of mines but it's not working here... maybe we should have a dedicated Offensive Coordinator instead of Stitt being the OC and Head Coach, looks like he can't do both at once very well...
I disagree, we didn't get outplayed, kids played hard, but I do believe we were outcoached starting in spring with a lack of emphasis on special teams and really a lot of fundamental mistakes with tackling etc. I only saw a few places where kids looked like they let up on a play too soon. I felt they put in a great effort considering the special team let down that can play in your mind. Unfortunate that should have been one of our easy games. I was not impressed with ncu.

Dropped TD pass by Bingham, Curren overthrown in the end zone, missed extra point, missed 23 yd field goal multiple dropped passed to Curren. Why have him in there when he can't catch? Stitt that pissed about Homan fumbling to keep him out of the game??? Stupid penalty by Kidder....O line struggling again...pressure mounting on Stitt for sure. Now 0-4 on the road in conference this year.....ouch

I think Bingham lost his drop (in end zone) in the sun. Sun was coming right over qb at him. Note his play on the ball look funny. Turned and jumped funny. He has terrific hands. He wasn't close to catching that one, and I think we'll find out he lost or couldn't find it in the sun.
