To many mistakes is becoming a theme with a Stitt coached team. Maybe we should go back to the offense hating the defense and visa versa and quit this "but we're a team" bologna.

Dropped TD pass by Bingham, Curren overthrown in the end zone, missed extra point, missed 23 yd field goal multiple dropped passed to Curren. Why have him in there when he can't catch? Stitt that pissed about Homan fumbling to keep him out of the game??? Stupid penalty by Kidder....O line struggling again...pressure mounting on Stitt for sure. Now 0-4 on the road in conference this year.....ouch

Seriously, can anyone tell me what Kidder did to warrant that penalty?

It looked like he jumped down on the quarterback when he tried to slide on his back while backing up, which when a QB does that no player is allowed to try and hit him. It didn't look to bad, but nonetheless it was a bone headed play by Kidder. We would have only had maybe 17 seconds left, so it would have taken a bloody miracle to even get the ball back and down the field anyways.

This loss rests with the special ed teams. With that said, defense had a chance to win it late and laid an egg. All the mistakes are very disappointing. Does point to coaching. Total lack of discipline

Chalich 24 for 76 carries. 3.2 per carry.

NC 47 plays for 241; UM 94 plays for 400.

UM 9 for 22 on 3d down conversions.

Too many mistakes. Didn't make plays when we needed to. Receivers back to not getting the tough balls. D couldn't stop last drive. O coulddn't make comeback drive.

Dissappointing. Missed BG, in my view.

Chalich needed to stand in the pocket and pass the dam ball! Every snap to him all he could think about was running 1st!
This Stitt offense can't beat anyone good! He is an NAIA coach at best! Granted the players didn't make some plays and made some mistakes, but they are doing what their coach tells them! I am rooting for the Bobcats next week! At least they know discipline!
Throw the ball 9 yds on 4th and 12....
Unsportmans like conduct on a kneel down?
Ball hit receivers in the hands and drooped!
One pass over 10 yds thrown in the game!
I blame only Stitt!

0-4 on the road. This IS NOT MONTANA FOOTBALL :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!:

UNC first win since 1976 against Montana. UM had won 13 straight against the Bears...

UM is not UM.
We beat NIU on the road

I am well aware we beat a 5 loss NIU team on the road. I was talking BSC.

Okay. For our next play we should throw it -4 yards into the flat to JLM. I guarantee that he will make 6 men miss this time and get a TD. Perhaps we audible him to the left of the line first though...

Kidder wasn't either one of the guys close to the qb...he was getting blocked, almost off camera on the tv feed. In fact x both if the guys close to the qb pulled up, neither really hot the UNC qb...

Why did we not throw down field? Was UNCs secondary that strong?

I'm wondering the same thing... after Chalich lit up the scoreboard last game by throwing down the field going into this game against one of the weakest secondary in the Big Sky statistically it looks like Stitt's gameplan was instead to try and pound with the run, slow down the clock, throw screen passes and short check downs all game hoping to win the Time of Possession battle...

Instead of go right into ground and pound and ToP battle, I would have tried to throw the ball down the field at least at the beginning of the game... and go from there

By not throwing the ball down the field Montana's offense pretty much set up Northern Colorodo's defense to fill up the box all game to stop the run and short passes... way to go Stitt Offense! So exciting to watch all those screen passes all day :thumb:
So he could get sacked a few more times or have more of his passes dropped? Don't know if you noticed but the GRIZ ran the ball pretty damn good today.

I did notice that, but look where it took us, to a close late game where we choked. If we did some pass blocking adjustments and threw the ball down the field more early we could have got some more TD's earlier on and this game would never have come down to what it did. Imagine if we would have played this way against ISU last week, we would have been blown away. It was our explosive down the field throwing offense that won us the game last week. WE should have carried that play style over into todays game.

Yes we did. So I'm scratching my head as to why we didn't mix in a couple run plays on the final possession when they expected us to pass . Hard to believe the results would have been any worse than they were.

Well whoever it was, I did recall seeing someone lay a small hit on the UNC QB when he tried to go down with the ball, regardless it doesn't matter because we lost and would have most likely still lost had we got the ball back with around 15 seconds left. Can't blame the refs for this one, but I"m more than happy to blame the coaches and their gameplan going into this one.

I found it funny that Stitt told the announcer that his receivers as a unit are better than last years  Gotta think his analysis of players is a bit off.
Well, starting early last year, I thought that Bob Stitt said weird shit in interviews and press conferences. His comments about the NSDU(2) game were delusional. JLM has obscured other deficiencies, notably, a walk-on but one that gives Stitt something to brag about.

I am getting pretty tired of this shit. I am leaning to the camp that is done with this Stitt show.

Can you see in the polls next week that there isn't a "Montana" team in the top 25. How about NR... How long has it been since that has happened... Just saying.

NC had 7 guys playing deep We had the right approach to run the ball. The long pass wasn't there. Some people should actually look at the type of defense being played before expressing their ignorance

And I'm still scratching my head why we didn't try throwing the ball down the field more early in the game more often. I would guess had we been more aggresive with throwing the ball down the field then we could have seen some big plays down the field (I mean come on from everything I"ve heard UNC's secondary is nothing to brag about). But, instead our gameplan looked like "Let's go shotgun all game, run the ball, slow the clock down for ToP and hope and pray that UNC's offense doesn't do very much scoring today" instead of "Lets throw the ball down the field on these guys and see if they can stop us"

I'm with you, I'm not sure what Stitt's current contract is, but I'm pretty sure an extension offer isn't looking too good right now lol.
