I for one do not think it will be a cakewalk. I always find first games to be a crapshoot usually decided by who makes the first game, least amount of mistakes. Also, I don't underestimate Bronco. He is a really good coach and although he has almost all new players, he will have them ready. He appears to have brought in some talented players. The Cats being on the road and in New Mexico, which will be very hot are additional factors. I see a close game that can go either way.

I really thought the Cats would have it in the bag, but losing Justus Perkins is going to have an effect on the offense.

Yes, that is another factor in my prediction. He is one of their leaders and the loss hurts. The Cats, are fortunate to have Cole Sain back and he is a senior with good experience at both guard and center. . The OL will be okay.

Unless UNM is significantly improved, the cats should win this game. They are heavily favored for a reason. I'd say the same about the Griz playing them. You don't want to lose to this New Mexico team.

If Illinois State can score 10 Points, they will beat Iowa.

I picked SDSU over Oklahoma State and Idaho over Oregon.

Bronco is a good head coach and a great defensive coach. Like the rest of the good FCS teams he will have defending the kitty O figured out. If his D plays well, and the kitty D doesn't, the kitty's will get beat. Take the Lobos and the points.

13 portal pickups with 7 from power 4 schools. How'd the kittys do?

I picked Sac and UC Davis for the upsets. I'm really unsure why anyone thinks NDSU is going to beat Colorado... I have a good feeling Colorado is going to win by at least 3 tds... Gut says by 30 though.
Probably because colorado is all hype and that's it. I can see ndsu pounding the rock chewing up clock and keeping it close then finishing them off in the 4th

I might have egg on my face at the end of the season, but I really think Colorado is going to make big strides this season, and NDSU winning there would be insanely impressive. I think they're going to be much better than they were last year.

This record line is not the result of some prognostications by CFB experts regarding the relative strengths/weaknesses of the teams playing this weekend; rather, it is due to bub arrogance. Meaning, bubfans are so convinced they will win, and win big, that they keep betting to cover and driving the line up which counterbalances the bookkeeper’s risk.
Most likely, not like any real money gives a s**t about the game.

Good luck out-coaching Bronco Mendenhall...zero chance MSU will do that. Now the question is will the cats show up with more talent. I know its game one of season one for Bronco but I'm betting that he will put together a team that can win this game.

Agreed. Bronco is a fantastic coach. I have met him through friends of family members, and is also a great dude. I think UNM is a couple years away from a bowl, but it's coming. That said, they will play this game well and be close for a bit. Cats are the better team and will win by 14+.
