You just don't understand how "tough" and "hungry" the Cats looked losing a conference game at home (which was never all that close) versus how lame the Griz looked winning one on the road. These Cats can sure lose games impressively, at an impressive clip. Long live ChoachOat.

They look much improved from Ash. Physical is not "tough". And Weber is a physical team the Griz play in Ogden. I'll be looking for your thoughts afterwards...

I think the Griz will win. If I'm wrong, I'll be disappointed.
You suggest the Griz will lose (without saying it outright). If you're wrong, you can be happy with the win. If you're right, you get a Schrute Buck and get to say you told us so. Ballsy move, Cotton, let's see if it pays off.

I don't think there's any way UM beats weebs in Utah.

Nah.

And you're what?

Say what you want. I call it like I see it. And almost always right.

Not sure what that means or what you're asking, but if you're asking if I envy the Cats too, that answer would be no. I'm a fan of Montana, which means the Cats could win 1000 straight games and I wouldn't envy them. Respect them? Yes. Envy them? No. Just like die-hard, true-blue Cat fans didn't envy the Griz or turn into Griz fans during the "streak". But hey, UM75 apparently switched over to a Cat fan, and judging from what I saw in the stands today, they have room for you too. But I won't take up any more of your time arguing with you. You have every right as an American to envy the 1-3 Bobcats and every right to post it on here. So, I'll let you get back to ripping JLM apart.

Fair. Wouldn't expect anything else.

Not meant to slight UM, but wsu impressed the hell out of me today. Very balanced team, minimal weaknesses.

Agree, Weebs is really good. It will be a tough ask for the Griz to beat them, but the fact that it's in Ogden isn't one of the reasons why it will be tough for the Griz to win there. Weber's home field advantage is really not one at all, and there will be nearly as many Griz fans there, just like in Portland. Even when Weber is good, like they are this year, their fans just don't support. So it doesn't matter if it's a road game, the reason the Griz will have their hands full is simply because Weber is a very good football team.

It's all about match ups. Cats have a huge weakness in their secondary and pass defense. QBs must seriously be averaging a 70% completion rate, maybe more, against them. Gresch will probably throw for 400 on them and the Griz will he fine.

A few of them were having a good laugh on how bad Gubrud lit up our defense. They just don't realize what he will do to they pass defense as well. The numbers will be just as bad for them.

They are really soft on the short stuff against the three good teams we have played. That number will drop when we play some weaker teams and can get some pressure without blitzing like we did against North Dakota. I'm not sure we have been Beat deep all year, so the secondary has been pretty good overall. Pass rush is still our glaring weakness on d.

Weber was bigger, stronger, faster, and they played smart. We played them pretty even except for special teams, Time of possession and decision making where they dominated.
Might have been a different game if the tackle makes his block on the reverse and Murray makes the right option read. Three good drives to start and only 3 points was a disaster against a very good team.

While I agree il play devils advocate. Griz offense is probably good for 30 or more points against weebs. The question is will the defense and kick coverage get better by then. The offense is good for a whole heap of yards and points. They had opportunities to put more points on the board vs psu. Still time to improve. To get a win in Ogden this year griz need improved play in the secondary and on kick coverage.

...the Cats are a much improved team this year...they pretty much have been in every game this year
(except WZZU)...not sure if Semore could stop Murray? Their coaching has been very good!

I care what George thinks and writes. It is almost always accurate, knowledgeable and thoughtful, and comes with good information and support. You, 5700, not so much. Frequently wrong and unnecessarily biting. Ripping players. Being wrong on your observations. You have zero credibility on the football board with me. Hanging out on MB with our new buddy Growler seems like a good place for you.

Yeah. It's going really well for them this year. They're stacking up quality, character building losses by the truckload.

Agree generally with your points, but having a good or credible offense is more than putting points on the board. It also involves helping out the defense, by sustaining drives, not having 3 and outs at key times, not leaving the defense with a short field to defend, giving the D some rests, and not having turnovers, especially on the wrong side of the field. It also involves making plays to avoid letting momentum turn to the opponent. It also involves capitalizing on take aways by the defense. Like yesterday, getting only 22 yards and a FG after an interception was good good enough. Making the short FG's consistently is a positive, and kudos to the kicking and FG team.

I thought both sides of the ball make just enough plays to help each other out and get the win, but it would have been nice to get more good plays out of each side of the ball. The long KO return was just inexcusable.

CDA, boasting about Griz wins this season over some really weak competition and not impressively is going to comeback to haunt you. the two strong teams the Griz played kicked their butt. Every Cat game so far has been against a nationally ranked team and they have played them close in all of them except FBS WA ST but only losing 31-O and being in the game with them at halftime. I will take that over the Griz unimpressive wins against cupcakes.

Like I have already said, you keep piling up the quality losses, we'll take the weak wins, and you'll be sitting home come November and we'll be in the playoffs.

I like reading what George writes. Aside from the fact he's one of the few to post under his name, he has proven he know the game, he loves the Griz and he can present a fact based argument in a manner that is easily understood.
