Just took down #23 St. Mary’s. Jones 29 points. Great news for the Big Sky conference.
We came back from 11 at half, 16 midway in second half.

We are much deeper this year. I'm sure there will be some bumps along the way, but our depth will get us through some adversity.

Now we are off to face two teams picked to win their conferences, and who were in post season play last year, and another team picked in the top 4 of their conf.

I'll be there, in New Brunswick, Canada. Should be fun. :)

Agree. :thumb:

However, there's another side: The Weebs look to be back on basketball form, and that's bad news for the rest of the Big Sky. The Griz will have to up their game.

I wish I could get more excited by a win over St. Mary’s.
You mean the team that won 26 games last year (battling Gonzaga all year), and went two deep in the Big Dance? That SM Gaels? :)

Both, the Saint Mary's and Yale wins were the highest rated teams we have beaten in the past several years. I think someone said since 2006, or the last time we beat the University of Utah. However, we also lost close games to teams rated at about the same level as us. We haven't shot the ball well yet, but we do have good shooters. Our wins have been due to our solid defense. For now, Weber is still a work in progress. A couple of our freshmen, who are in the rotation, are still getting their feet under them. My hope is that they continue to improve throughout the season. I think they will.

We are only five weeks out from starting BSC play.

I've watched every team in the BSC play at least one game, and most teams more than that. I'm still saying that the top three teams are WSU, UM, and EWU. It's harder to pick the bottom three. However, my WAG is UI, MSU, and Sac. that would leave the middle four as NAU, UNC, ISU, and PSU. PSU looks good right now, but they do this every year and then stink it up in BSC games. They look good playing teams who can't guard the dribble drive, jump, and shoot. Stop that one element and it's game over for them.

The Vandals are losing to a very mediocre Seatle U. team at halftime, 54-24. Not looking good for UI.
