Our final prediction of the offseason. Today we're looking at Weber. I've alluded to this before, but I think Weber's best days are behind them. I think Mickey Mental is a trash Football coach, and it's gonna be tough going to try and make the playoffs again. Let's dive in!
August 31 @ Washington - L. Ya, this one's gonna be ugly. Hopefully they don't get roughed up too bad. Huskies roll
September 7 vs. Portland State - W. The early week 2 conference game. Feels like a coin flip and could go either way. Both teams need this game badly, but I'll give the edge to Weber since they're at home.
September 14 @ Lamar - W. Lamar is historically one of the worst teams in the Southland. They should be improved this year, but I'd be surprised if they pulled this one out.
September 21 @ Northwestern State - W. After the disastrous season the Demons had last year, they got a big clean up job this season. I think NSU will finish last in the Southland. Weber wins big.
September 28 vs. McNeese - W. Clifton McDowell makes his return to the Big Sky. Weber did not see McDowell last year, so maybe this could be a tricky game, but outside of big Cliff, I don't think the Cowboys have much else going for them. Weber should be fine in this one.
October 5 @ Montana - L. Gonna be tough sledding. They haven't been to Wa-Griz since 2019. Griz roll in this one.
October 12 vs. Northern Colorado - W. Should be easy in this one.
October 19 @ Sacramento State - L. Sac has the better Football team. They should win this one at home.
October 26 BYE
November 2 @ Northern Arizona - L. This feels like a game Weber will lose. Very trappy game. I think NAU gets it done.
November 9 vs. Idaho State - W. Weber will be fine in this one. They own ISU. They just don't lose to ISU no matter what.
November 16 @ Idaho - L. Tough conference road schedule. A lot on the line for both teams in this game, but Idaho should be favored at home in this one.
November 23 vs. Cal Poly - W. Not much to say about this one.
------------------------------------
I've got Weber going 7-5. Will that be good enough to get them into the playoffs? I'm gonna say no because they won't have any signature wins. I think they find themselves out again. That's my prediction. Thoughts????
