Weber State Montana part 3

If you think Ward holds a candle to BQ, you are smoking that good shit they sell down in Mexico.

That isn't what I said. But 39 minutes, 23 pts on 10 of 16, including 2 for 2 on 3's which is not his role or comfort zone, 8 rebs. Ward could have been MVP if Jamar didn't go off. Like I said, glad Ward was on the court tonight.

Wildkyle......... I invite you to be honorary game thread starter rest this season. :thumb:

Speaking of Weber State, that is one hell of a team you have. Lillard is a surefire NBA talent.
You guys ran into the biggest buzz saw the GRIZ may have ever had, in that 2nd half. That does not happen often. I expected a great game, but never a half of basketball like the GRIZ played in this one.

That was a great game! I must admit I was worried about this one before the game. Just didn't have a good feeling about it. Especially nervous after they got down by 11. Not sure why I was though, the Griz have proven time and again that they can take their opponents best shot and come right back! I was so glad to see Jamar get back on track. One had to figure he had to start making those threes sooner or later, it had been a while since he had been consistently good from downtown. Really happy for Ward and for Selvig, GREAT games to finish out the season at home.

I know you have Lillard on your team, Wildcats, but I am still wondering why Tresnak didn't get more looks. That guy has great moves and our bigs really struggled with him. He makes some really tough shots and has great touch around the rim. You may lose some talent this year, but you have some really nice pieces of the puzzle already in place.

Another thing I was wondering: How are Weber fans feeling about Rahe? Yes, he is a Three-time coach of the year and he wins a ton of games, but he gets his lunch eaten in the big games at the end of the year. This isn't an attempt to pour salt in any wounds, I honestly want to know your opinions. For a school that hangs it's hat on their basketball team, this has got to be frustrating. At any rate, I hope you guys do well in whatever tournamnet you wind up in! Go Griz!

who are the commentators this game? is one of them miles simon?

As you obviously found out, yes it was Miles. That championship game with him and Bibby still stands out in my mind. That was a great game and he was really fun to watch. Never translated to the NBA, though.

Griz played very poor defense the first 5 min. Selvig was exactly as I expected. He made a couple early, so he has confidence in his shooting this night. But, he is pathetic on defense. He has given up 8 easy points inside. Gets muscled, poor footwork.

Griz standing around way much on offense. Too much dribbling....not enough movement without the ball.
Hey Growls! You need to take a 16p nail and drive it 15p into your left ear. On further reflection, when reviewing the vid of you picking facts out of your ass, you are right handed. In order to achieve the above feat please use the right ear. Thank you. signed all of Montana.

Just finished the game on the DVR... WHAT A GAME! CONGRATS GRIZ!

...& gawdammit students... keep your hands off of the f*cking basket.

GO GRIZZZZ!!!!!!!

BTW, I have to give Art kudos again, his defensive pressure and tenacity goes largely unnoticed, but I love the way he plays. He was even showing more emotion tonight than normal, showed a lot of fire!

Ward is UM's top percentage shooting player this year. 50%. 9-18.

just got back...and I only live 3 miles from Dahlberg. What a great game. Griz played well in the first half, but weebs was on fire...Second half, no words really, if the Griz play like that for a whole game?

thank you Derek for keeping us close in the first half when we were in trouble. Very agressive tonight. Firegriz and the likes are rapidly approaching a level of stupidity only seen in movies...and by scats2506.

Thank you Mathias for coming out and giving the team and crowd energy in the second half, and Kareem Jamar....lifetime half, congrats.

Cherry and Art were thier usual steady selves, which is pretty damn good. It was a blast to see Dahlberg like that again....the old fogies that I thought needed to die off for that place to be loud....stood more tonight than they have in the last 5 years...Great job.

To anybody who watched on ESPN, how did Dahlberg and the atmosphere show? Well, I hope.

Also, lilliard is the best ballplayer I have seen in person in a college game....he is by large leaps better than anyone in the Big Sky. If he wasn't a team player, he could score sixty every night and there is not a god damned thing anyone could do about it.

Also, Alex Shaw is now my favorite person to ever put on a Griz uniform, partly because of what he did on the field, but mostly because how much support he has shown to the Griz, and the University of Montana over these last six basketball games.

IF the game is Portland...I am buying my plane ticket the minute the game is announced.

dahlberg looked like an impressive major-college arena. loud but not insane like football. not to the level of the cameron crazies. or the zoo. something's still missisng.
