Weber State loses O"Neill

Quite a surprise that she is transferring to Western Montana after the year she had. I bet Carla Taylor is shaking her head. That is going to hurt WSU a lot.

I can't figure out why on this one. She was and still is Big Sky calibre. My guess it is probably family related. THough I won't speculate as to why, this is a shocker. She was pretty good for WSU. Taylor is a tough coach to handle is my guess, she reminds me a bit of June Dougherty from Boise State. High intensity, but high integrity too which Dougherty lacked at BSU.

Boyfriend and family I might buy, the part about Carla Taylor not at all. I have gotten to know her pretty good over the past 10 years and Carla is a class act and a great coach. I was lucky enbough to dine with her and the team once and they love her. I wish O'Neill well, Engellant is one luck bastard.

i actually heard that carla taylor is to busy recruting girls that she thinks are cute instead of girls that are actually good. becky would have stayed but since she didnt have the same sexual preferance as her coach she felt like an outcast because that is how her coach treated her. yea she sounds like a real good coach and person to me.

That sort of comment is on the verge of libel, actually... I think you might wanna offer some proof of that before posting on a Web site for all the world to read.

The comment her former HS coach made to me was that the boyfriend was a factor & that there were issues with the coach, although he did not specify what those issues were.

Canidate!! She was the leading canidate to become the Big Sky MVP for next year!! Short of an injury or something else completely unexpected it will not even be close!!

Can you imagine the coach Engellant of Western Montana on the day he got a call from her stating she was interested in transfering. He was most likely dancing on his desk!

There were a few reasons why I transferred and the boyfriend and coach are two of those reasons. If you have questions I would be happy to answer them instead of having rumors flying around.

Thank you, Becky, for being brave and classy enough to post on this message board. It's not always 'safe' to idenitfy yourself, so I hope you are treated with the respect you deserve. I'm just glad you're back in Montana, playing for any Montana team!!
