"HEAVY FAVORITE" -- Just wondering - who determined Weber State was a "heavy favorite ?" The numbers don't indicate any such thing! It looks pretty close to me. Let the players determine whom is the favorite from now until March!

Im sure they meant picks, Weber got all the other 8 coaches, and got 19 first place media votes compared to Montana's 4.

Im sure thats what they meant by "heavy favorite"

Im sure if the Griz got all other 8 football coaches to vote for them, and had much higher 1st place media votes, the Griz would be considered Heavy favorites.

Its nothing to get offended by, they are just polls and mean absolutely NOTHING.

As a Griz fan, I expect Weber to be heavily favored. They have arguably the most seasoned team returning. Though the Griz have some great players coming back and will challenge Weber, they have more question marks coming in, too. I think most every one is expecting Weber to be on top but I can't wait to see what kind of damage the Griz can do this year. Those two games are going to be great!

I just don't see UNC finishing 3rd..or even 4th this year. They lost pretty much everybody to graduation. Maybe they have some big time talent that will step up though....who knows... On paper though it looks like it's a definite rebuilding year for them.

For 3rd I'd say EWU, NAU or PSU... I know PSU had a very disappointing season last year, but I think they'll recover. NAU, even with losing Rogers will be good I think.. They always seem to be in the top half of the Big Sky.
EWU could go either way.... hard to know. Losing Dean to Utah is going to be a big blow for them, but they usually have a lot of talent. Sometimes it just doesn't play well together :P If I had to pick one I'd pick NAU for 3rd.

I really wouldn't be surprised to see UNC duking it out with the Cats for the last spot in the tournament this year. The Cats lost a lot too (Howard & Rush), but not nearly as much as UNC did. ISU and Sac? They'll likely be where they usually are...

Exactly what I was thinking. My guess is EWU but could be any of those three. I was going to post something about the UNC vote but figured the voters know better
