Weber looked Past MSU awaiting the Griz? Griz predictable?

Weber was ready for Montana on Thursday which did not lead to a great result in Bozeman but they should be more effective tonight.

Has Griz success made for easy prep? It has become fairly obvious that the ball has to go in the paint and Strait is going to score it. When this is working lots of other offensive options present themselves. The last two teams in town were able to make Strait adjust early and had some early success. Strait and Criswell have been able to adjust and get their numbers but the others have not been able to get the easy shots. It should be fun tonight to watch for some surprises. Thursday Sharp, Chavez, Ellis were a boost because they were probably not a part of the scouting report. Mr. Krystkowiak wants to emphasize defense tonight and Dlouhy and Matthews are due on the defensive end.

We had 4 guys in double figures. To me we were WAY more predictable last season with Kamaar. We have 6-7 guys who could lead us in scoring on any given night. I am not worried about us being predictable at all.

Strait going to have a very good game again today. Best way to defend Strait is to foul him. Strait is poor at the free throw line shooting only 58% (div 1 games only). But, Weber State does not have the depth to lose players to fouls, so don't look for them to do that. Griz's depth beat ISU thursday, I expect the same thing against Weber State.

Riggs and Patton are the leading scorers at 14.9 and 12.3 points per game.

Weber State doesn't shoot all that great. Average is worse than the Grizzlies worst shooting game. Wildcats also allow the opponent to shoot better than them on average.

I am sure Wildcats will bring their best against Montana, but Griz will rebound from their mediocre shooting game against ISU.

Weber State doesn't have the player inside to change shots like ISU's Millien did.

I expect Griz to score in the high 70s to low 80s. Defense will be better today for the Griz and hold them to 60s to low 70s.

Both teams know each other quite well. Both will be as predictable to each other. There should be no surprises.

Montana will continue to surprize while making adjustments. Strait is great and reliable but some team will try to take that away even though it appears to be a formidable task. Dlouhy will show up on the tape in a different location for his slam and three. Matthews will slip in for the slam and Martin will pop some set-up threes.

This team is deep, and if teams expect to beat this Grizzlie team then they are going to have to play better than the Griz. They cant expect to shut down Strait and have the game in their pocket, they are going to have to play better basketball because if they dont then Griz will outshoot them, outhustle them, and outdepth them.
