McBride could come back for one more year. Is that at all possible or is he definitely done?
Word is that after he announced his retirement he had a change of heart and wanted to coach out his contract (one year left), but was denied by the AD. He didn't stay retired long and is now an assistant for Utah's arena team. So McBride would definitely come back.Griz Growler said:McBride could come back for one more year. That looks like a Freudian slip to me ... but right on the money.SWeberCat02 said:... He didn't stay retired long and is now an assistant for Utah's arena team. So McBride would defiantly come back.
Not the prettiest career path one might imagine, eh?CBSSports said:Smith has 12 seasons of FBS head coaching experience, going 16-18 in three seasons at Utah State from 1995-1997; 41-21 in five seasons at Louisville from 1998-2002; and 22-26 in four seasons at Michigan State. His hasty exit from Weber State won't be his first awkward departure from a previous head coaching gig, as in 2002 his [Louisville] Cardinals found out he would be leaving for MSU during halftime of a GMAC Bowl loss to Marshall.

Administrators, boosters, equipment and uniform manufacturers, media...they have all united and all are killing the product they helped create. I sat with 4 UM grads last week end in the Desert and 3 said they are just not as interested as they once were. I agree with them....Very little interest right now in college or pro football, including UM.....who'd of thought that possible?TxGriz said:GrizLA said:It is becoming more difficult every day to remain a fan of college football. Well, college administrations don't make it any better. Horseshit firings from low paying jobs like just happened at Montana, who owes anyone any loyalty?

Weber State: Sources tell me that that UTEP offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Aaron Price is a candidate for the head coaching job at Weber State.
