It would be nice if the Griz went and dominated all the way ... but I'll take a late clampdown (offense and defense) to win on the road. That's like gold, any time.
FWIW: I've been worried by NoColo right from the early season. They are legit, with wins or close losses to strong D-1 opponents.

Hats off to the Griz tonight with a win in Ogden. Dee Events Center is always a tough venue.
From my vantage point, high in the rafters of my home theater I nominate 3 players as my players of the game. First, in no particular order are Malik Moore with that gutsy 3 point shot to give the Griz the lead with time running down; Brandon Whitney with the steal on Webers last possession and last but not least Sawyers 4 free throws to salt the game away. Plus he was very active on defense. More so than I’ve seen him in a while.
I’m still rooting for Money Williams to have a breakout game. From my view from the cheap seats his decision making tells me his head is not in the game. He needs to realize his not playing high school ball when he gets down low he’s in tall timber and more often than not he either misses or turns the ball over. But I still have faith he will find his game.

That was a 40 minute street fight. Not pretty, but what I liked for as much as they were getting bodied, they just kept coming.
Weber clogged the middle and rather than settle for jumper or bad threes, they kept trying to work the ball. Did it slow the game down? Maybe, but a lot more willingness to keep trying to play down hill. Liked that.
That wasn’t the same WSU defense I saw in their previous conference games. They got their poop in a group. Great effort by the Wildcats.

Although we won, we need to get more out of Money and Pridgen offensively. Our offense is at its best when those 2 are on and averaging double figures. Pridgen got it going late but Money struggled tonight. I admire his aggressiveness to keep attacking the rim as that’s what he’s most successful at, but he needs to take care of the ball. He got his pocket picked a lot tonight. Having said that, he’s done a great job this year at responding from a bad game. I suspect he’ll have a big game against ISU Saturday. In the end, all that matters is you win and this team keeps finding ways. Onto Poky!
Did I happen to mention how much I love beating weber? Sent a cat or two scurrying with a few yells down the stretch.
