Weather Update

Now it's just getting downright ridiculous with the weather forecast for Saturday. Here is what the National Weather Service is saying.....

Saturday Mostly sunny and cold, with a high near 1. Wind chill values as low as -34. East southeast wind 12 to 17 mph decreasing to 6 to 11 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 29 mph.

I don't know if even fireball whiskey can make minus 34 warm but I'm going to make an attempt. The wind just makes it scary. Dress warm and layer up people, it's going to be one fun game!

...wind chill factorz...
...are for fanz that go naked...
...if you wear 4 layerz..no wind chill...

... 8-) ...

Air in motion is more efficient in removing heat, so it is tougher keeping it in. More layers are needed to just offset the wind.

Accuweather still has a high of 4 F for tomorrow. Probably about zero at kickoff.

It was about 85 for the appy state game, if you add the wind chill factor of -34 the temp difference could be 115-120 degrees. Only in MT.

In the other weather thread . . .

In the News Forum, I started posting weather information yesterday, will do that this morning, and again tomorrow morning. Fritz Neighbor has an article today also.

Hmm, no, not really........

What was the temp/wind for the MSU game in Missoula when John Edwards was UM's qb. It was nasty, windy, snowing I think, and blowing hard.

Its like 2 degrees and the winds are gusting atm maybe 10-15 miles an hour..... Its cold.....

If you are going to the game and don't have some serious cold weather gear get some QUICK!

I see Coastal is preparing for the cold using Photoshop:

Making it look cold should definitely work to their advantage.

Cold is one thing - wind is another.

Throwing the ball downfield might be impossible.... which is one of the biggest weapons the Griz have had all year.

Our weather might not allow us to exercise our biggest advantages in this game.
