I'm just going to take the guess this is/will be the hottest game on record in Wa Griz. Was chatting on twitter with a few other fans and some of the others we recall were 8 to 10 degrees cooler.

I'm not worried about the team, they've been practicing all August in this heat. Nor am I concerned about NSU - I'd assume with them being from Louisiana they're used to playing in the heat.

I'm honestly worried about the fans and attendance. I've said it before (as have others) there should never be early afternoon kickoffs in early September. Those stands are going to feel like well over 100 degrees. And they're hoping for a maroon out too? I'm seeing some people are dropping out due to concerns over the heat and their health already.

I would love it if the UM moved the kick time. My guess is they just can't. I really do hope they have some plans for attending to heat related issues in the stands.

Just stupid that this is not a night game. If this is truly a BH decision because he “doesn’t like night games”, someone needs to step up and tell him he is wrong. (Kent Haslam) When we have early season non conference games, they should be late after noon or evening games. This year, both the Opener and the South Dakota games should be 6 or 7 pm
kickoffs.

Probably because some of us do real work outside. Been putting in 12-18 hours a day for over a month harvesting and haying in this miserable fucking heat. 6pm kickoffs exist. It’s not going to hurt anyone to watch an evening game. I’ve got the over under on heat related illness in our section at 1.5. This isn’t the south, we don’t have to be fucking miserable.

BH is the chief reason we don't have more night games. However, for this particular game the AD saved on the guarantee cost so NW St. doesn't need an extra night's boarding. The desires of the revenue-paying fans is way down the list. They'll come anyhow. Don' need a fan advocate.
