Weather Forecast

Tonight's forecast.....dark, continued dark with scattered light in the morning, and a bit nipply. ;)

Like any weather person has a clue. They always show the worst case scenario. Yes cold but I doubt near as cold as they are guessing and probably not as cold as games we have had in the past.

Everyone is acting like it has never been cold here before?? Who cares, show up and be loud!!

I just got a windchill advisory on my phone that said...Windchills could be 20-30 below until 11am saturday morning with the worst of that being near hellgate canyon!...Dress warm, says frostbite can occur in less than 30 minutes to uncovered skin!

Bump. Thought I would try one more time.

Anyone hear any updates on the weather?

If CCU and Mr.Ross are serious about a neutral site the game could be moved out of the US to Regina, Saskatchewan where we have a 40,000 seat stadium that would accommodate all the CCU fans that would travel but don't want to come to Missoula. Sadly its an outdoor stadium and the temp this morning was -27 WITHOUT THE WIND, with the wind chill it's -44.

PS: I converted that to US temps for my American friends.

The latest forecast for Saturday at noon in Missoula is 2 degrees above zero (feels like -6F) And as for all the talk that players on the field don't feel the cold, that is just a whole lotta BS. I played in the State A Championship game in Sidney (versus Stevensville) in 1982 and the temp that cold November day was about -15F with a wind chill of about -30F. It was friggin' cold! Cold on the field...cold on the sidelines...cold in the stands. The only thing that heated up was the scoreboard when the Eagles put a beating on the Yellowjackets 42-0 to claim their first of 9 state championships in 11 years.

In the News Forum, I started posting weather information yesterday, will do that this morning, and again tomorrow morning. Fritz Neighbor has an article today also.

Saturday’s game could be the coldest ever at Washington-Grizzly

Those fans that will face the Hell Gate winds should take extra precautions. This is no joke. Cover all skin. Alcohol might make you feel better, but your skin can freeze. Alcohol will take most of the pain away. However, some pain is important for your health. This morning I stood in the 15mph wind at -1temp. Wow, a lot of pain on the face. GO GRIZ

I just got a text alert, and they updated the forecast. High of 34, with a low of 10.

Not bad. Not sure what all the whining is about.

You are exactly right! i was in the stadium today watching a little of CCs practice around 12:30...the wind was blowing so hard and it was cold when i made a quick phone call my hand was in pretty serious pain....needless to say my face was really hurting. I wasnt bundled up, just hat coat and jeans and saw that CC was down there so i had to check it out...i lasted about 25 minutes and had to give it up. This windchill is no joke, lets hope it dies down for the game...looks to be bad till at least 11am, lets all enjoy most likely our last tailgating of the year!
