Weather for game

In order to make it to a Grizzly Playoff game I get up at 3:30 am, not that I have to but am so jacked up can't sleep, turn on my circular Montana Grizzlies luminated circular neon sign, wake the wife up 4 hours later by playing the Montana fight song on the bottle opener then travel 20 minutes & YELL my A$$ off for 3.5 hours in the most beautiful stadium in all of football!

Are you and Mom going to make it to South Dakota game? Game weather is nice. Looks like you will get out of any bad roads before Livingston? Need Mom there to keep fans involved!
No, unfortunate concessions to the Golden Years. She will be chanting "Move the chains" from her chair near the fireplace. But she is a lock for Nashville should that unfold.

The problem is the overly dramatic weathermen who predict the probability of 0 to 8 inches snow in the valleys and 1 to 3 feet of snow, pass level and above, and rain in Missoula Saturday for a week ahead of time. That is a very large range and just a way to cover their asses, and they'll tell you don't travel unless necessary anyway.
MacDonald Pass was in good shape, as was the interstate from Garrison to Missoula Saturday morning, but most people were afraid to even attempt it due to the doom and gloom forecast.
MDT cameras and road condition map are helpful, though the road conditions might not always be accurate they give some sense of actual conditions.
Sometimes you just got to get up a little earlier and leave a little earlier, but it's worth it for playoff football, GO GRIZ!!

As a matter of minor interest ... the South Dakota people (team and fans who might come over) will think they've made it to Miami. Forecast for Vermillion on Saturday is a balmy high of +8º and a low of -11º, with up to an inch of snow, and winds of 10-15 mph. Missoula forecast calls for 48º high, +25 low, cloudy with 5-6 mph wind.

Cuavo! Cuavo! Cuavo!

Just kidding. Turnout for So Dak State was embarrassing. In towners, out of towners, thousands of people chose not to come. Our hotel is usually packed the night before a game, but the parking lot was half full.

I'm a firm believer that athletics is the front door of a university. If there are thousands of unsold seats, they should be put to use promoting the university. If a family wants to tour campus, they get tickets. If a business wants to buy every employee a Saturday with the Griz, they get bulk discount.
When I was a kid, from Lions Football through high school, admission was free a couple games a year if you wore your jersey to the game.

If the only thing in the South Endzone is a bunch of shirtless bros, then the administration is asleep at the switch.

Griz football is not affordable enough during the regular season. If there are empty seats, filling them should be a priority.

It could be always be worse, forecast this Saturday for Minnesota is a high of -2 and low of -18 with wind chill -24 (W NW winds 10-15 mph). Probably worse in North Dakota.
