We got our asses kicked. Congrats to the Chanticleers. They won the game today.
Over-react much? :o The Griz lost by one TD.

Maine lost by 2 TDs, 41-27. Was that an ass-kicking? Marginal

Tennessee State got its ass kicked: 51-10.
Furman got its ass kicked: 38-7.
SDSU got its ass (mildly) kicked: 41-17.

Great post, we got beat on both sides of the ball by a better team. They would beat us 9 of 10 in any weather because they are a better team. Definitely tougher and more physical.

We got beat and it wasnt the refs, or the cold or the noise, it was a bunch of Chickens that wouldnt be denied.

Tip of the hat, the better team won

Yup, the better team won. I won't agree completely with Alpha on the physical part. The Griz racked up nearly 600 yards of offense on what I thought was a mediocre CC defense. Non-the-less, CC IS and was the better team. Better than Montana for sure. Hats off to the Chants. Alex Ross is VERY VERY GOOD.

And next week CCU wont put up more than 17 in Fargo that is how good NDSU is.

CCU will be Chanticleerly out matched in the dome.

We will see how good he is next week....Griz defensive strategy made him look good, just like nearly every other qb they've faced for two years...

CC has a better staff....that is all.

Ok oh holy one. Yes we lost to a team who planned and played better today but to say the refs had no influence in the outcome is plain horse shit.

Just make the request to admin to have your SN changed to alphabison1 already

we didn't deserve a no.8 seed. coastal isn't that good, but they're better than us. it was over at halftime. we lucked out and won some games we should've lost this year and were fortunate to get in the playoffs. we never give up though, but that's little consolation.

mick is doing a great job and I'm glad he got the extension. we'll have a tough time winning enough games next year to make the playoffs, especially with the two coordinators we have. we lose a lot of really good players and i have little faith that we will be as good next year.

recruiting is going to be tough again. last year's class was below par and this year is going to be tougher with the loss of scholarships and being on probation. we'll lose guys to other schools over it. guys that were on the fence, but always fell our way aren't all going to do that. guys that we got to come here for partials are going to want more money, so to get them we're going to have to sacrifice. instead of getting 18 players for the scholarship money we have, we'll only get 15 and that's before you take away four scholarships. we'll have to make up for it with walkons. very few teams put on probation don't experience a drop off.

The Griz lost the game on their own. I thought the officiating was extremely poor, but three things killed the Griz. The defense Two of the touchdowns in the second quarter were drives in which Montana had multiple chances to stop CCU and didn't.
The Griz went for it on fourth down within fieldgoal range three times. Fieldgoals win the game for Montana.
I guess you could fault the Griz for getting away from the short passing game that worked so well on their first two scoring drives--Scott Gurnsey sure did at the end of the half. However we don't know why the change was made. Maybe Cam Warren's injury had something to do with it.

Earlier in the year I would have fully agreed with you, and been all over Delaney for not trying to kick field goals, but it became clear as the season progressed that the Griz field goal kicker is not very good.

You still have to fault the coaching staff for not getting or training a kicker who can kick at least a few field goals inside the 30 yard line. Even mediocre football teams have field goal kickers who hit a few more than they miss. Montana is so pitiful they don't even attempt field goals!

Griz were very lucky to even get in the playoffs. Without JJ it never would have happened.

They were bringing the house. The default check in a fade/go route against 0 coverage. CCU made the catch and 90 yd. TD. The Griz never made the connection. In the second half the Griz started calling some crossing routes which also work against 0 or 1 coverage....

Bet Ross looks mediocre against NDSU...just saying. Doubt he will do well on the draw and he will not escape a lot of the pressure like he did today. He is good don't get me wrong but the Griz D has a way of making players look like all stars. And 600 yds is good but their 3rd and 4th down conversion percentage not so much. If CCU had a mediocre defense they sure made the Griz offense leave a lot of points on the field.

I agree, ranger. If you can't kick fieldgoals in the 13th game of the season, that's a coaching problem.

Same as if you can't tackle either, coaching problem. The Griz have about 99 of them right now.

The HC's number one job is recruiting. Delaney deserves the flack he gets for not having a competent kicker.

And there lies part of the problem. They never gave him any chances to redeem himself, therefore, not giving him any practice at kicking at all in order to improve

It's impossible to say ccu was a better team. Check the penalties and the replay and understand we lost by only 7. I dunno if we played better than them but to say we got outplayed with a clear ref bias towards ccu is assuming in all fairness they would have won but the game wasn't even close to fair. It's impossible to tell as the griz didn't beat ccu AND the refs.

And I'm talking about the entire game of shitty reffing not just the obvious replay blunder which was the difference of 7 points

We didn't get a fair game and I don't think either team won the game... The res decided the winner
