Dont ever respond to any of my posts ever again. You are clueless and you know virtually nothing about DD your post just proved it.

Run along now and hop on McKinneys dick

Everyone that knows anything about football and QBs in particular know that for the most part you have it or you dont. Rarely does a QB start out bad and turn into dynamite.

JJ's didn't exactly set the world on fire in his first 5 games. In fact many of the same things being said about TM (no downfield passing, etc) were said about JJ.

Their stats through the first 5 games are very similar.

JJ through the first 5 games:
82-144 (56.9%), 915 yds, 6td, 6int
33 carries, 227yds
56.94% comp, 6.35 yards per attempt, 4.167 TD% 4.167 INT%, 115.74 QB Rating

TM through the first 5 games:
94-138 (68.1%), 941 yds, 6td, 7int
54 carries, 287yds
68.1% comp, 6.82 yards per attempt, 4.35 TD%, 5.07 INT% 129.6 QB Rating

I could be crazy, but those look like better numbers to me. :coffee:

The difference between the two is that JJ had a GREAT defense.

True, but TMac has the luxury of probably the best Griz O-line ever.

Wait the same oline everyone says was going to struggle, inconstant, slow? Also jj had better recievers, a better d to rely on and a senior kicker..

Yup. People have very short memories it seems how much our O struggled early on last year, and how JJ was playing those first 5 starts. JJ turned out pretty damn good by the end of the season. Hoping TM has a major breakout game like JJ did last year against Weber.

Honestly I'm more concerned with our pass defense and other things than I am with our QB. For TM to be recently added to the Rice Award list (best freshman in the FCS) means others are seeing him as a pretty good QB for a freshman too.

I think it was Hammer who said in another thread that he hopes they let TM sling it around a lot against UNC to gain some confidence and so we can see what he can really do. I hope they do exactly that as well. Having a big breakout game like that could turn this season around, like it did last year when we destroyed Weber.

Yeah, but are any of those guys as brilliant and knowledgeable as Alphie?

This.

TM has proved he can run our offense. They all have bad days (HOFer Peyton Manning thru 5 the other night...).

But, just like last year, we need to GET AHEAD in the turnover margin. Early on it was ugly, like this year. Hopefully we get that cleaned up. If not, gonna be a long season.

We got our ass kicked, in the turnover margin, in our 3 losses.

He did a great job on the last drive against Eastern, not his fault Henderson stayed in bounds like a dumb ass.

Try again...or don't.

You know, you could have stopped at just "not his fault Henderson stayed in bounds." Why call a kid a dumbass for trying to MAKE something happen?

@HtwonGriz - I want to introduce you to Mr Henderson next home game...He's about 6'2 235 looks like former NFL LB that just retired or something...let him know his sons a dumb ass for trying to make a play with 3secs to go! Don't worry I wont let your head bag on the concrete when he knocks you out!

No way. It's a good OL no doubt but it's quite a stretch to call it best ever.

2001 O line was pretty good. So was 2009 O Line with Hillsland, Dow, Quinn.. A little early to put "best ever" label on this O Line. Their body of work is not great enough yet.

Seriously, you guys are obnoxious.we have a great QB. Yes he's a rs freshman....he will.make mistakes. He is a dual threat qb who had made linebackers and ends look silly a bunch this year. Everyone who watched college football knows....kids throwing progressions get 5x better through their first playing season. He will also get consistent. He is a true star player...give the kid a chance!!!!

Take EWUs Adams he has 1.5 starts and has already played better than any game McKinney will ever have. Adams can lead a comeback and take over a game.

We know McKinney cant do either but hey you keep waiting for the other shoe to drop.

I have seen enough already.....hes a good RB.
