WBB vs NAU

A few thoughts...Don't think Coach H brought it tonight. During the run of 3 or 4 turnovers at the end of the first half he was leaning (almost sitting) on the scorers table in front of the radio announcer. No emotion at all. This lack of attention was the beginning of the downfall after such a great start. Also saw where he had his assistant drawing things up during one of the last timeouts? Also, somethings up with Carmen G...sat a lot and not the dominating presence she was earlier. Also think he put too much emphasis and pressure on Libby S at the end of the game. She's definitely a great piece of the Lady Griz future but not quite ready yet. We really have to get tougher under the defensive basket without fouling but refs didn't help. Not to worry...I'm sure they'll regroup and be fine. They have a ton of young talent and are fun to watch!

Carmen sat because of 2 early fouls.

Younger talented team, what seems consistent in "need" areas, defending in the paint and getting back in place against fast drives+turnovers. Otherwise, when they pull it together...watchout! I thought coach out to have called a timeout, earlier when NAU began converting our turnovers.

Loree Payne has developed into a top-class coach. What a coup for her to get Oltrogge from ISU. But I think the most impressive strength of the Lumberjack women are the two young post players, Jaiteh and Glancey. They're going to be a force over the next 3-4 seasons.
