I believe Coach Tinkle is still liked by the Griz faithful so I will share. 25 years ago today in 1992 Waynes World took over for the Tri-City Chinook as Wayne Tinkle piled up 27 pts. and 16 rebounds to lead local CBA team to a 199-113 win over the Albany Patroons at the Tri-Cities Coliseum.
*I had season tickets at the time and Coach Tinkle was THE fan favorite.

The guy had quite a game. Lots of nifty moves around the basket and could shoot it. I might not recall it exactly correct but seems in a game vs. Idaho in Missoula Griz were down 11 with under 2 minutes to play. Tinkle got 3 "threes" and a 2 in that final short period of time to force overtime.......Griz lost in OT but never saw one guy make so many plays down the stretch.
