MBBALL Wayne Tinkle

Bullshit!

He has no reason to take that kind of job. This is just living in a fantasy to believe otherwise.
Didn't you all just have a Head Coach in Football that did the same thing in his 2nd go round with you? He hired friends, and Family that had great resumes. Is it that different?

Like my original post on this, I have heard some chatter but don't think it is super realistic, but I believe it is possible. Only a clown would dismiss it based solely on Few having nothing to teach him when there are so many other things that make it seem plausible. A Spokane kid that just built a house in CDA and still really enjoys coaching but might need a reset.

You seem wound up for no reason. Tinks said he wanted to get back in coaching and help his boy get into it too. To dismiss Gonzaga as outlandish is silly. I never said it was for sure but it could work out well for him.

I'm wound up over nothing. I just think if this is what his goal is, it's more realistic that if he's set to be back in Spokane, he isn't going to work under someone else. If he wants to teach young talent, maybe it's at Ferris, Whitworth or North Idaho. Those probably are any more likely given the level he has coached at, but it seems more realistic.
It also seems like Few has a loyal staff that has no room to expand as it stands, and you just don't bring your "boy" (who is a full-grown man btw) into that mix unless you have control of the program. All this banter that ends with someone saying "I told you so" at the end is silly.

Yet here you are...being so silly.

If Tinks wants to reset his market with the ultimate goal of another D1 head coaching job, the path is more convenient to sit next to Few than be a head coach at Ferris, Whitworth, or NIC. And lets be real, no one at Gonzaga will tell Few no.

This is correct.

Kinda seems like someone in this thread is under the impression that being an assistant at a perennial top 10 program is somehow a tier below being a HC for . . . a f'in high school? I'm honestly confused by that line of thinking. Tex, are you being serious?

I meant those very sarcastically. As I said from the start, I don't see how a nice exchange from one really good guy to another turns into rumors about an alliance. I just don't buy any of that and nothing out there indicates it will happen.
I doubt that there are many out there that would have stayed and coached Oregon State to the end, which shows the kind of guy Wayne is. That was for the kids I am sure, so it's different than a commitment to just the employer.

Because some know that the relationship between Tinkle and Few goes much further than a nice exchange. I always said that it probably won't happen, but on the other hand it is plausible.

Just watching NCAA Tournament and thinking what a great game or studio analyst he would be. That would be a great gig for him.

Sounds just like a crazy ass Oldn post.

I told you it would hapin, but it probly don't.
Has Wayne Tinkle ever coached at a top tier program? The answer is no and you are delusional if you think there is nothing to gain for him from having that experience.

That’s interesting because I read your posts in this thread as saying it wouldn’t happen because he wouldn’t take a second chair, or something like that. If you’re saying it wouldn’t happen for other reasons, I’d be interested in reading those.

The last three posts are the proof of why I said what I did about coaching at three ridiculous places as opposed to being an assistant at Gonzaga. At one point, someone said I was all wound up over this, but the truth is, the last 3 posts, well after I made my comments, are wound up over something.
The burden of proof is on showing that he will take a position and HHB taps out and say he never said that it would happen.
I'm saying that it is unrealistic for a 60 year old man who has been a head coach for 20 years to suddenly want to desire to be an assistant. There is nothing out there indicating that this is in the works, but you have Tinkle and Few booed up in a corner, so continue to fantasize and I stand by what I said. I don't see it happening.

I never said it would, so quit making shit up. Also, no one ever said he had a desire to be an assistant. You just keep making shit up to make yourself feel validated or something. What a loser.
