some are taking cheap shots others are pointing out the facts as is with the current state of affairs but, by calling people morons isn't really seperating yourself from those you think are being out of line.

Sugar Bear, what "people" have I called morons? I've only used the term "moron" to refer to anonymous cheap shot artists in the cheap seats who are calling out real people (by name). If I were going to identify coaches or players by name, and call for their jobs or criticize their play, I wouldn't be a coward and hide behind a fake name like "Robomomo." I support our program and our people. I'm not going after "people." If you wanna be a tough guy and go after real people (like coaches and players), at least be a frickin' man and put a name on your face. See the difference? It's a clear separation.

Show me on instance I've ragged on a player. Show me one other person who uses their legal name. What's your real name? I was at the games when Blaine Taylor was coaching, saw the loss against Eric Dampier's 25th ranked Mississippi State team, nailed a member of the dance team, played at the rec center with Ryan Dick, Kempfert. Smoked J's with Camel. I have great memories about this team and hate to see it's potential f-d up by one man who does not deserve the shot he was given. Larry left the foundation of something special and Wayne has taken this program back 30 years.

By that admission you really slapped Taylor in the face. I guess having players on the GRIZ smoking J's was a good thing for the program? Big deal you nailed a dance member. Once again things we would not rather know. The ironic thing is if you knew a member or the current GRIZ under Tinkle were smoking J's you would be firing more cheapshots at Tinkle. So does this mean you hold Tinkle to a higher level than Taylor? Griz smoking J's is not a very good reflection on any program. You just lost all credibility with me now. No wonder you do not like Tinkle, he only recruits character kids not characters.

If you don't think there are J smokers on the basketball team you are delusional. There are drum circles in the oval. There are more hippies per capita than berkley and maybe boulder. There were players under Taylor that were caught and suspended, and transferred. Only recruits character kids? You don't know what they're doing in their free time. Chances are they being typical college kids, but not getting caught. I've said repeatedly I don't care if a player helps little old ladies cross the street and goes to church twice a week. I want talented kids, which we have, that will play inspired basketball, and there is nothing inspiring about T.

Then Tinkle has something in common with you, uninspiring like your BS posts.

I agree with you, thankfully this is not my primary job, unlike T.

I have to be honest, this confuses me. Tinks has yet to prove he can get it done on the court. They may be good this year but we don't know that yet.

Did you read the comments of Jim O'Day that were echoed by Dennison? Tinks has a top 10 class in the country academically and his guys are not getting arrested. They do a LOT of community service work and the program is on the rise. Wins are coming. Frankly I think Tinks is exactly the kind of person i want running the men's BB program.

Wow thats great. But I thought this was a basketball program not the Boy Scouts. Community service and strait A's will never put butts in the seats.
Coach Tinkle is great for the kids, students, fans, and program. Let's face it, very few schools that have a successful football program have a succesful basketball or anyball program. Consistency on the non-get em' in here at no cost program is good to see and Tink will create a successful program. It's all up to the fans to show their support and help OUR team.

I am very happy for ISU and the conference that they played Wisconsin so close. It helps the conference RPI a great deal, BUUUUUT why is this topic in this thread!

How does losing by only 2 points help in RPI? RPI does not consider scoring margin. Lose by 2 or by 200, it is just the same when it comes to RPI. Sure, It may look better losing by only 2 than it does losing by 200, but it is still just a loss as RPI looks at it.

It isn't a win until the game is over and your team has scored the most points; otherwise it is a loss.

Yep, losing by 2 is the same as losing by 52 on your home court when it comes to RPI.

Sorry, I couldn't help it. ;)

Griznationalist....just curious, where did you obtain the information that UM basketball players were near the highest with their grade point averages in the nation of Division 1 schools?

Apparently or according to his other posts it came from a O'Day qoute. I asked where O'Day got his info from or if O'Day was asked where is info came and Griznationalist gave no answer to that.

I provided the quote from the newspaper article in which the Athletic Director stated it as fact. I have no clue how he knows. I assume we pay him to know. If you think he's lying, or if you want to know his source, I know that his email address is available via the UM online directory.

Don't confuse sugar aka pickleboy with facts. He could care less about them, his only purpose is the internet version of the poison pen. He is a short fat tool, period. Too bad Alpha didn't put him out of his misery at the Mo Club when pickleboy ran out the back door while pissing himself.

Again keep your shirt on and I never said he was lying. You must be taking lessons from others on here who like to put words in others mouths or make assumptions. What newspaper was it? I and other boosters I know have sent O'Day emails enquiring about information or wanting to pass fundraiser ideas by him and he hasn't ever replied back. So that's a waste of time along with calling him.

GB1 I think you have a Broke Back Mountain thing for pickle boy. That's sad.

I'm just a "regular Joe fan" but on the very few occasions I've contacted Jim O'day he has been very responsive and helpful and I could not have asked for anything more.

Sugar Bear, you are obviously skeptical of the assertion that the Grizzly basketball team has one of the top GPA's in the nation. There's nothing wrong with skepticism. I have directed you and everyone else to the quote in the Missoulian by our Athletic Director stating the assertion as fact. If you think our Athletic Director is lying, and if you don't have the gonads to contact him or call him out (I directed you to the University of Montana email directory), then so be it. For you to claim it's a waste of time to ask because he probably would not answer the email that you didn't even have the guts to send him in the first place is ... well ... silly.

Maybe the point he's making is that nobody gives a fu*k about GPA. Is anyone talking about the football teams GPA or the championship? GB....that pickle is starting to give people the heebie jeebies. Maybe pick something less phallic and your sexuality won't be in question. Just trying to help.
