He is a beast. Follow him during the game and you will understand why we are doing so well. He is a blocking machine. We don't throw to him much, but he knows how to get open. He is a football player +++.

He has been crushing defenders all year, and certainly was in the SDSU game.
Shafer is one of Eli's best assests on the run/pass plays. He is an outstanding defender and good for our offense.
I really wish he hadn’t slipped on that reception, because 25 was going to get lit up. Then he jawed at Evan until the next play. Not a good career move there.

We talked about his impact on the pod today. Dude is an absolute monster, and the blocking metrics back it up. Glad he’s a Griz

There are many blocking only TE's in the NFL. I wonder if he might warrant a FA contract next spring.
There's a dude that played for the Ravens recently, maybe still on roster. Like a 290 lb fullback / hback. Shafer reminds me of him!
He's the lynchpin to your running game. Phenomenal blocker.
