Want to compete in the Mountain West? Here's how!

Wyoming just released their athletic department goals between now and 2021. If you're interested there's a few pages of light reading. If I'm reading it correctly, they want to increase the athletic budget by $21 million in that time. Can Montana do that? Very unlikely. But this is what it takes to have an athletic budget in the top half of the Mountain West.

A link to recent facilites improvments at USU. The hire of AD Barnes from EWU was the best thing we ever did. I am shocked we still have him.

"Indoor football practice facility (1998)
South Endzone pavilion, ticket office and concession stand (2005)
Laub NEZ A-A complex (2008)
Replacement field turf (2012)
Strength center (2013)
South End zone bleachers (2013)
B-ball off court facilities (2009)
Wayne Estes b-ball practice facilities (2014)
Soccer field seating and press box (2012)

They're also renovating the old weight room to serve as locker rooms for the soccer/track/softfball teams, right? And of course everyone is still waiting on announcements about the renovation/rebuild of Romney's west side/press-box/concessions/restrooms."

Meaningless without knowing what the revenues will be. I would bet Wyoming is increasing the expense line because the top line is growing at at least the same rate.

With 3 seasons above .500 in the last 12 years, I should hope they are trying to do something to compete.
