How do you think choach is going to react when he realizes that he can’t just have Anderson sign an extension?

Who’s going to cover for him then?

I think Choate probably knows that. He's been in the college game a long time and has great players he probably wished he could have kept around longer.

Good players come and go. I'm sure we can all think of players we wished we could have kept for more than 4 years, 8 years for Weber....

Right now I'm enjoying the ride. Hopefully he has a great finish to his junior year and I'm excited to get one more year out of him next season. Then he'll move on and our team will do the same. Like every college ever.

I would enjoy it...he’s a hell of an athlete. Not just what he does, it’s that he excels at everything he’s asked.

He is the ultimate band aid.

Minus the dig I agree with you. He is a hell of a football player and can do things not a lot of kids can do. We're lucky to have him for sure.

no sneed? that's bs.

So let me get this f***ing straight. They have Troy Andersen on the list but Sneed is not. What a joke.

Dalton has 217 net rushing yards with 5 TD's and 2,019 passing yards with 15 TD's.

Andersen has 270 net rushing yards with 5 TD's and 1 completed pass for 3 yards and 0 touchdowns.
Wa, Wa, Wa….FYI...you must be the only one on the planet that doesn't know Anderson has been primarily playing LB this year, with stints at QB/RB. Sneed? Dante? Nowhere near the complete athlete that Anderson is.

Problem with ta he has been treated as an athlete. Kind of the “jack of all trades-master at none.” Olson is a linebacker who knows the position and is very good at it. Sneed is a true quarterback and is very good at it. They aren’t used as patch work players. Had ta been in a program which knew how to develop players he would have been one of the best true linebackers to come out of the state. For his sake I hope he has a good senior year.
The comparisons between Sneed and Olson is just plain laughable..

Go Griz!

I really appreciate you proving my point for me. Apparently the only other people that don’t know that Andersen is primarily a linebacker are the Walter Payton award voters.

Anderson is certainly a gifted all-around athlete. But, make no mistake, that will hurt him if he has ambitions of playing in the NFL. (Not everybody does, BTW.) Following that route, I would expect him to do well in the Combine, perhaps even attention-grabbing well. But will he have enough game recordings to show scouts where an NFL team should put him? From what I'm reading here, the answer is most likely ... No. So he will have to find a team that will sign him as a "project," and be willing to spend some development time to figure out just where he belongs. My personal opinion is that he would be worth it, since athletic linebackers -- apparently his "natural" position -- are always at a premium.

I don't think and reasonable ( that being the key word) Cats fan is comparing him to Sneed or to Olson. Most Cats fans know that he is VERY talented, but is still learning. Olson and Sneed are already learneded

Last I was told is, Troy plans on going back to the ranch after college and skip the NFL ambitions. He is having fun playing football for the Cats and wants it to be just that, fun!

Not a dig.

I think every team in college would take someone like him...if there’s an issue that he can help with...he just does it.
