Walter Payton Watch List - Eli Gillman

I know we have Rocker to work in there and I can't wait to get a look at Monte Gilman in the game too, but I sure hope Eli gets more work this year. I realize we are trying to save him for the second season, and we need to stay balanced, but I look at that run against Tennessee State that sealed the deal, and I think give him the damn ball.

And Fonoti, who I think will have a breakout year. Eli and Fonoti - Thunder and Lightning, with a boom and flash!

“Sam Vidlak, Stephen F. Austin, Sr., 6-1, 207 (Southland Conference) – 2024 Finalist”
I got ridiculed here by a few posters when I said Sam had one of the most impressive arms and could flat out spin it on levels I’ve not seen from most fcs QBs. I think people wanted to believe he wasn’t good, but I think our system or the lack of buy in from his own teammates left him under performing. He’s been spectacular for SFA

How about throwing back to the Miami Dolphins and we just see who ends up as Czonka, Morris and Kick.

Get those big 'ol eat hay and $#!t in the road beasts up front out there and give me POWER! All day long.

To quote coach Hauck, "...Power; it's the play of the gods."

Correct you are sir. Probably not many more would have caught that, but yes, Jim Kiick, Mercury Morris and Larry Czonka. Weren't they the first team to have two 1,000 yard rushers in the same season?
I was a Redskins fan back then, and still now, but I thought they played in Husky Stadium at that point and so I am a Seahawk too which worked out great when they were in different conferences and were a game away from meeting in the Super Bowl back in 1982.
Not a Raider fan, but if they play Bozeman, I'll paint my face like Jolly Roger.

Monte is going to be a slot WR / returner - based on his work in camps so far.

🤣 I was telling my wife that our RB rotation is like the weather report” Thunder (Fanoti), Lightning (Eli) and Cool Breeze (Rocker Jr).
I like this RB "weather report". I was thinking Thunder = Eli, Lightning = Fonoti because of his acceleration and agility, and I can see Rocker Jr as Cool Breeze = smooth and flowing.

And why his teammates quit on him we’ll never know…and thus we’ll never know what could have been.
