Walker Olson Commits!

Even the boosters get how much life The REAL Montana Bobby has injected into the University, the city and the fans.

You can admit I am right when UM gets the 9 figure donations, they have never received before
I'm not saying you are right or wrong. Don't break your neck when BK turns the corner.

Had offers from Utah State and San Diego State.

Texas Tech, Northwestern followed him closely too.

A coach friend told me this: "He is a stud! 6'3" 210 and long arms. Ran an 11.20, long jump 22', triple jump 45'. Threw javelin 180. Edit: 4.55 40.

Also plays hoops.

His upside is tremendous."

This is one of the best recruiting classes off all time athletically. Time will tell if they gel but the talent is undeniable. There is a reason the REAL Montana Bobby hired the coaches he did. It doesn't matter if they don't have experience these guys can recruit better than anyone has at UM.

Montana wins the National Championship this season and all it took was a new coach
Or, more likely, because NDSU is gone.

9 figures. 100 million. Multiple 9 figure donations. Ya right. You are a total idiot. Only 3 programs have ever got a nine figure donation.

"Only 3 college football programs have ever received a standalone, nine-figure ($100+ million) donation. These monumental gifts have typically been earmarked for major stadium overhauls and broader athletic department endowments to keep programs competitive in the modern landscape. [1, 2, 3, 4]
The programs that have reached the nine-figure threshold include:
  • Michigan State University: Received a historic $401 million commitment from alumni Greg and Dawn Williams to support academic and athletic programs. [1]
  • University of Kansas: Received a $300 million gift from alumnus David Booth to go toward the massive overhaul of Memorial Stadium and the football program. [1, 2]
  • University of Illinois: Received a $100 million gift from alumnus Larry Gies to propel the athletic department, resulting in Memorial Stadium being renamed Gies Memorial Stadium. [1, 2]" Gemini.

And stop stalking me.

O/U on the number of different ways they're saying "didn't want those in-state kids anyhow" over on bcn.

Setting the line at 11 and the hook.

Can someone who actually visits that place report back?
Already at least 3:
1. Griz signed the kids they were supposed to sign
2. This class had a higher number of Griz legacy players
3. Cant’s got the best OL, Athlete and LB out of the group

Montana finished higher than NDSU 2 of the last three years. Griz had caught NDSU, MSU has passed both. NDSU leaving has not changed Montana's chance at a national championship.
But UM has been behind NDSU in virtually every other year. It was only a matter of time before NDSU was back on top. NDSU beat the Cats in Bozeman in 2024. Is that your idea of passing them? Feel free to list all the times the Cats beat NDSU in the last 15 years. This is what Gemini says about MSU beating the Bison in the last 15 years:

"The short answer is they haven't. In the last 15 years, the Montana State Bobcats have not beaten the North Dakota State Bison. Instead, NDSU has been a major postseason roadblock for the Bobcats, winning all six of their matchups during this period—all of which took place in the FCS playoffs."

Directly from Bobcatnation:

"Wanted to be a Griz but Cats gave him as strong of a push as they could in my opinion. In-state kids will stay loyal to their childhood team...as long as they feel wanted. We talk a lot about Cats or Griz flipping players but usually it comes down to the offer/recruitment. If their school preference gives them the offer they wanted, they'll likely go there. Good luck to Walker...great kid and athlete!"

Terrible people we are.

I'm guessing that's from Vim. He's hardly the typical bcn poster.

Look at the attention seeker, he quotes me TWICE then says stop stalking me! Boomers are fun to watch fail!
And posts replies to his own post and later burps out another mindless AI reference.

At least AI can write sensical sentences.

I heard the Olson kid was good too. From sources that might be better than Hoopsball's.
