W-T-F Now Poole is in jail

Don't blame the girl, Stubby. I was just running with Baller1 and Griz-o-Matic's remarks.

And, for f*ck's sake, hiring new staff isn't going to change the nature of testosterone-ridden young men (nor were older adults able to talk sense into me at that age). It's the consequences that will ultimately change things. Once they learn they can't get away with these things, the behaviors might be curbed. Or those doing them won't play.

Exactly correct...that's the problem. This should've been handled publicly from the get go with clear terms for anyone that wasn't on board. Engstrom hid his head in the sand, went after one player, and thought firing two good men would make these problems disappear. They won't ever be gone. He's an idiot, and anybody who thinks this is about blaming Engstrom for what the kids are doing is equally stupid.

Agreed. I was simply mocking those who want to fire the head coach whenever we lose (or, in the case of Bobby Hauck, when we failed to win solidly enough), and those who are quick to blame Florio and RE for anything and everything that goes wrong with the players.

I'm not in the know like some of you. But, I can tell you that a Felony charge is more than a little bit of weed.
 
Disappointing is an understatement, but the bottom line is NO coach can control what these "kids" do off the field away from the program. To blame anyone other than the individual culprit themselves. It is completely inappropriate. That includes, Media, Coaches, Florio & even that Bus driver who is stuck in reverse (Engstrom).

With the precedent being in place over the Pflu & O'Day debacle. I guess it would be safe to assume that we WILL be looking for a new coach this offseason. I appreciate what Mick has done. He really stepped up in a bad time. However, honestly he is over his head.

I over heard a parent say last night "I have met that guy several times and he still doesn't remember me...my son is one of the most promising young players on this team you would think he has it down now!"
The Poole family will recover from this and so will Montana Football because truth is you can control what others do!
 
How dumb can an athlete be.. hitting up a rave in the middle of bum fuck Egypt.. I know these guys are in college, but good grief.. you're on a pretty expensive scholarship, your program is already under a very large microscope, and going to an event like this is just asking for trouble. There will be plenty of opportunities to hit up "Bloodbath" or whatever in your post college life.. now is def not the time.
