Any word on how Ogiune is coming along?

I haven't heard but he is dressed so I would say that's probably a positive sign.

Not so much injured as in the dog house

Uhmm, would you mind expanding on this?

You break a team rule you sit...it’s that easy. He was visibly mad that he wasn’t playing in the second half when he came out of the locker room. He was supposed to sit for at least a half for team disipline

It wasn’t the fact that he fell flat on his back from 5 feet in the air just 4 days ago!

Interesting, since on the post game radio interview with Riley, TDC said that he didn't really practice all week, due to the injury and was just doing treatment. Also, when he was on the court, it was all non-contact and they were planning on it being a game time decision. Coach said they decided to sit him just a few minutes before game time.

Any of you watch the warm-ups that were on just now? I like the hype crowd the do for the last dunk. I missed who did it but it looked like they were having a great time!

I was at the game in the general admission. Pretty sure it was Dorsey. I could be wrong though.

All I know is what someone inside the team said. I doubt this person would lie but let’s all hope that it’s not the case as we all know he’s one of the main voices of the team

Fair. I hope you know that I just meant "interesting" as in it is interesting, not in a snarky "I don't believe you way."

Falls simply reaches out and grabs the ball handler for no reason....yikes.

He seemed to be hurt. He went straight to the bench after the foul and didn't return. He also seemed to be noticeably limping on the way to the locker room.

There was not even the slightest hint in Coach Decuire's post game remarks that there was a discipline issue. It seemed clear that Mike's injury was the sole reason he was held out of the game.

That has to be it. Absolutely, no way a foul that pointless should happen, otherwise. UM seems like it might be shorthanded Saturday against Weber, a very good shooting team..

I kinda doubt that.

He looked as though he was still walking gingerly.

BS...…..Oguine is not in the doghouse, never has been, never will be. Did you see the fall he took, the prior game? By the looks of it, I bet he has a bruised tailbone, maybe even a cracked one. Fortunately, Manuel is a capable replacement. We miss Oguine's rebounding and defense though.

I was told as well it was just a chance to heal up a minor injury before the big game on Saturday. I learned this in advance of the game.

okay, that's how i feel when you post too. I think its pretty funny everyone begs for inside information on here. Someone who posts actually has connections inside the depts. albeit many more connections in football than basketball and they just get ridiculed on here because it's against what people want to hear or what people believe themselves. It's cool, I don't have to be right all the time...just tying to pass along what I heard from a pretty darn reliable source. Oguine could never ever in the history of life ever break a rule and couldn't possibly had done something to help enforce he was gonna sit and heal. Coach would never say anything to the public that is different than what is actually happening. Its cool I won't post anymore.

Announcer even said that Falls intentionally fouled to get himself out of game per obvious injury. Did anyone watch warm ups? Was Oguine dunking and moving fine, or was he looking beat up still?

Mike was good in warm ups. He did not practice most of they week and they want him as healthy as possible for Weber. The only chance he played in this game was if ISU kept it super close and Mike was needed. Am told he is good to go assuming there are no set backs between now and tomorrow evening!

Just a couple of observations...

1. I think if we are going to see more zone, which if I were a defensive guy I think we’d see, Falls might need to be on the floor. I thought he presence on the floor during that early second half run was as instrumental as Manuels. Falls was extremely active and I thought essential. I liked the combo of Manuel, Akoh, Rorie, Falls and Moorehead.

Falls was involved offensively and just as much defensively. He was engaged and when he is, this team can find a gear (emotionally and game flow wise) they just don’t seem to have with anyone else.

2. I believe Dorsey is starting to feel comfortable. His role has become more defined and he has played well off the bench in the past two or three games. He’s provided good offensive presence and seems to find himself in better defensive position. He might not give you 10 and 5 or whatever you might be looking for, but he looks far more influential on the floor now.

Fun game but weird the way Griz lost comfortable leads to end first half then mid second half. They just seem to get lazy and sloppy at times. Poor passing and have a hard time getting short range shots to go. On back to back sequence in 2nd half Rorie made horrible pass to Akoh that was stolen easily.....next time down Akoh a poor pass to Rorie with same result.

I'd expect better play vs. Weber as the team seems to get up when they need to. But these weird lapses likely to cost them down the road. PSU game was the best example so far.

Happy for Manuel making an impact and was good to see Moorehead make a couple threes last night.

TDC mentioned on the post-game radio interview that if a team is perceived as a threat to the guys, they play hard, then tend to get lackadaisical once the perceived threat goes away. Gotta keep the gas pedal down all the way through.
