Monte lost last week so we need to get going. He still behind this morning, be sure to remind everyone you know to go in and vote.
 
Interestingly, Monte has the 2nd highest vote count, so far. However, he lost to the rodent last week.

He is losing to a dog so far this week.

we are down by 1000...i know its the mourning and they have 2 hrs on us but have everyone you know vote everyday!
 
Monte has the lowest votes of all of the mascots except the damn gopher! :crybaby: (for this weeks standings - not the overall)
 
The problem is in the way the contest is run. The dog is way down in the standings so all the other schools are voting for the dog.
 
Could anyone post the best way to vote each day to advance Monte? I do not have time to follow the voting both weekly or totally so this would be helpful.

Also the Billings Gazette is having a web blog contest between Griz and cat players to determine the best college football player from Montana. It would be great if egriz members would go there and vote.

Monte should flunk out of this contest in the next two weeks. Griz fans just don't care about this kind of crap anymore.
 
I don't know if any of you followed the previous mascot challenges, but I can guarantee you that Monte (when he won, twice) NEVER won on vote count. There is so much more that goes into the decision, but this is just one way to get the fans involved. Do you think they'd actually put a mascot with a backing of a state with less than a million if it was purely based on voting? No... they wouldn't waste their time. The fact is, when Monte won it the previous times, he wont it based on his character as a mascot, along with other categories such as his community involvement, dance/stunt skills (the harley definitely puts him up there, although a dirtbike would probably get the ladies), and other categories.

So don't put too much stock in the votes. They only count for a portion. Keep voting and we'll be fine.
 
Well if he jumped a dirtbike like Evil Knievel I bet he'd pull some tail... heh, pun intended. God Im funny.

Either way, he's going for the "badass biker" look... so if it's not a harley, the Griz might want to not let the other mascots know otherwise they might want to beat him up and take his lunch money.
