What a Jekyll and Hyde performance

Some great passes, and some horrible passes

Some great defense, and some terrible defense

Some great shots, and some awful shots

But right now, Mr. Hyde has the upper hand

FINGERS CROSSED!!!!

Well that was scary... Great W, but I hope we play considerably better Saturday. AWESOME shot by Whitney! GO GRIZ!!!!

That was one of the most frustrating Griz games to watch in recent memory. They tried to give that game away the entire night but thank God for Beasley. Holy crap, what a stud. We may not be a good team this year, but watch out the next few years!

Well, the Griz could not take care of the ball for most the game (lost the TO battle 24-15). Luckily, they shot way better than PSU, across the board. Any win, especially on the road, is a good win, but this one was pretty damned ugly. Hopefully, it was a good "learning experience."

Griz hang on to win down the stretch in OT - 70-64. Nice to see them play a lot better offensively in OT. Outscores PSU 16-10 in OT.
Isn't that crazy??? The way they played in OT is the way they could have/should have played all game. Crazy.... GO GRIZ!!!!

Amen.... I'll take any win. Saturday should be fun. GO GRIZ!!!!

Our “press break” consists of one guard to guard screen followed by everybody running to the ball, and then throwing a prayer to the most “open” guy.

Big win. Never easy when you’re as reliant as this team is on underclassmen, I’m excited to watch this team going forward because the talent is there. We’ve been on the cusp all year and that next step is going to come, probably sooner rather than later.

On the negative side, I agree that the lack of adjustments to the press was disappointing, obviously the inexperience is an issue with something like that but TDC needs to drill them on this. I’d also like Vasquez be more aggressive on offense, he’s far too timid and pass-first, especially when he’s driving to the hoop.

Josh has been that way since the first few games of his freshman year. He got swatted right off the bat during his first few drives and now every time he goes into the lane he seems terrified to put it up. It's to the point where I'm sure most teams know he won't try and shoot it, hence he always dribbles or passes it back out. It's frustrating.

Absolutely, I was hoping it was a combo of freshman jitters and deferring to more more proven players. The fact that it’s still so glaring is concerning; a site I use had him at 3 FGA at the rim which is absurd for someone with his minutes. I believe he has the skill to make shots so I hope someone convinces him to take some, and soon!

I’m not going to lie....I turned the game off with six seconds to go down by three after Beasley missed that layup and PSU got the loose ball. Did NOT expect to read the headline I saw this morning.

And HHB, I hear what you’re saying about the press, it just seems like the Griz had NO answer for it, repeatedly. I get that it should work occasionally, but it actually got worse as the game went on and there didn’t seem to be any adjustments being made by the staff to help them out. Was the exact same play every time. It wasn’t even a particular complex press but we struggled all night against it.

Anyway, it’s about time some chips fell our way, we’ve lost 5-6 games just like that at the end.

He needs to watch some Tony Parker highlights, hell, even some Sayeed Pridgett Highlights. They are masters of getting their shot off over taller players and I think Josh can develop that, too. If we had more of that from him, it would just make us more dangerous overall.
