Vigen to Washington State after Frisco?

If true, it seems like a no-brainer move for coach Vigen. Stay in the west recruiting the same areas you're familiar with, and a chance to completely shape a decimated program into the image you want.

Oh, and a pretty sizeable raise, too.

Interesting spot for Daly, can he assemble a staff and have good contacts he can trust? Does he go to WSU and get paid more? Pressure will be on if he stays. MSU has done a good job hiring outside the program.
Will be interesting to see the Portal transfers from MSU after the Championship game.

If they can hold on to the majority of the staff, I don't think a ton of players will leave.

But if Vigen transplants the entire coaching staff to Wazzu, all bets are off.

Miller will be the first target for the head coaching position. Daly may stay if he decides to take it. They will own in state recruiting.

So you’ve never watched him play then? I’ll just assume that and save you the argument.
Clueless. You have no idea how fast a 4.3 is.

  • 2024 NFL Combine: Xavier Worthy of Texas ran a record-breaking 4.21 40-yard dash time. Other top times at the 2024 combine included:
    • Xavier Legette: South Carolina, 4.39

    • Anthony Gould: Oregon State, 4.39

    • Ladd McConkey: Georgia, 4.39

    • Roman Wilson: Michigan, 4.39

    • Jacob Cowing: Arizona, 4.38

    • Tez Walker: North Carolina, 4.36

    • Adonai Mitchell: Texas, 4.34

    • Brian Thomas Jr. LSU, 4.33

If the rumors are true, which some knowledgeable cat posters are now saying he addressed the team last night, then this puts the cats in an interesting spot. It's getting pretty late in the game to make an external hire with the early signing period now passed and many portal guys now committing to other programs. On the other hand, outside of Bobby Daly, I don't think there are any other good internal candidates. The OC is only in his first year and a lot of the assistants outside of Daly and Owens don't have any previous ties to the program or Montana. That makes me think a bunch of these guys would follow him to Wazzu and I wouldn't blame them for doing it.

Their AD I don't think has ever made an internal hire, or at least not in any of the major sports programs. Maybe he has in the non revenue sports but IDK. Daly would be good for keeping a majority of the team together and maintaining the strong in-state recruiting, but is he a good long term solution? Look at Andy Thompson. The players advocated for him to be promoted and year 1 was ok, but year 2 was a disaster. Is he ready? IDK.

For starters, we gotta hear something official, but after we do, things get interesting.

Sounds like Tom Stuber had incorrect info...

My son, who played college football, said to
tell you that video games don’t count. How many of the Griz coaches do you know and discuss football with?
Cool. I gotta a buddy who played at UW and plenty on Cats Griz Tech. Obviously I’m not talking to gris coaches but I know a lot of guys on your squad that I talk to frequently.

Do you? Troy Anderson ran a 4.4 at the nfl combine. Tommy is faster than Anderson. He absolutely runs a sub 4.4. Which is a 4.3 40. It may be a 4.38. But that is what people refer to as 4.3 speed.

I'm guessing his original information was good. He was then told to walk it back because that was not supposed to be public knowledge.
All the griz fans hoping and praying Vigan is leaving are about to get their wish.
who would wish the gravy train of endless wins against MSU in Missoula to end?

Do you really think the griz would have beat the cats if the game were in Missoula this year? Keep dreamin dude. They couldn't even beat Weber State or UCD. Next year will be another blood bath in Missoula with or without Vigan.
